1986 until 2001. During that 15-year period, though, if I could give a single year, I'd say 1989 was my favorite, simply because it was my first, almost full year of watching The Weather Channel. 1990 was technically my first full year of watching The Weather Channel.

BTW Brian, I love that quote on your signature. I vividly remember hearing that following the Michelin-sponsored Travel Wise segments in the late 90's... "because so much is riding on your tires." :D

I would have to say that TWC's best year was 1995. That was the year when large tornado outbreaks occured in the Plains, "Exposures" was the show to watch on weekends, and the LOT8s were even more catchy than they are now. Plus they had classic OCMs and severe weather experts, not saying the ones we see now aren't good :-)

Anytime in the 1990s.

Most of the focus was on the weather, and the Local Forecasts were generated by the WeatherSTAR 4000 (or a STAR XL in the late '90s) if you lived in a large city, or a STAR 3000, or Jr. if you lived in a small town. Other segments included Business/Weekend Travel Forecasts, Tropical Updates, and Business Planners.
