I noticed this morning that they played the 2005-2008 Global Forecast music during the Global Forecast this morning on Your Weather Today....
That music is still current; they never got rid of it.
that would explain it lol...thanks

So where do these changes leave Bill Keneely?  The last remaining original OCM?  Is he among those that will be getting a raw deal?
Don't forget Jim, Vivian, and Jeff....
They're not deemed "original" OCMs... When he says "original OCM" he means ones that were there when the network launched May 2, 1982... Of those, Bill Kineely and Mark Mancuso were the two...
ah I see...thanks for clearing that up...they're close though...mid 80s...

Ah. So, looks like First Outlook is the only show that won't be seeing host changes.
I'm just fine with that!

I wouldn't be surprised if these segments phase out over the next year or so. Look at what happened to Weekend View - that started falling apart after Stephanie left. A&B also started going downhill in early 2008 when they got rid of many segments such as the Audience Barometer, etc. First Outlook also had a lot of individuality (including it's own professional set!) but a lot of its special features were gone not long before the HD relaunch. It was even more unique before 2003. Same with Weekend Now. The list goes on...

It seems that a show always starts out great and unique, but then it just starts falling apart. Go figure.
I agree....don't forget Your Weather Today....the may not have had many "special" segments but that individual feeling is gone

How so? The show really hasn't changed much since its inception....

Agreed. The only changes I've ever really noticed were just graphics on occasion.
well I mean, like I said, nothing in the show has realy changed, cut the "presentation" I think seems to have changed, or at least the quality....and the anchor changes dont help either....I dont like it nearly as much without Marshall and soon, Heather....I just like the Your Weather Today from 2000-2006 much better is all...I didnt explain too well the first time

I'm liking the special lower 3rds for Weather Center much better than anything I've seen since they went HD. They should do lower 3rds like that for every show...I think they'd look great!

For those of you that are interested, I found a site that will let you visit certain websites and allows you to see what they looked like on a given day in a given year. For those of you interested, here's what www.weather.com looked like in 1996  :bleh: (attached image)

So, Jim Cantore is now on YWT.
Which makes me believe Paul and Alexandra are still on Evening Weather Center
yep, most likely they'll do the show without him tonight, as he's doing field work today...

Where the hell has Nick Walker been? I haven't seen him for a loooong time...
Last I checked, he still hosts Day Planner as a fill in.
so would he still be considered a full time OCM?
