It's what they do these days: take good things and break em: Your Weather Today, Evening Edition, Abrams and Bettes....the list goes on and one...

Yeah I noticed their style is a bit more relaxed and "enthusiastic" than it was before, but I didn't notice this until around 2005 or so.

this is true, it did take a while for them to "relax" a little....I have a feeling that Stephanie Abrams would not have fit in well at the "old" TWC

Ok, I know a fair amount about TWC's Sept. 2003 Relaunch. I know that a few new shows debuted, and they upgraded each shows graphics, started using Stephen Arnold's music for the show opners, and changed the map title bars. Were there any other major changes? I only occasionally watched TWC back then...one thing I did notice was that their presentation of the weather seemed much more...relaxed(casual?) I guess is the word. Anyone else have any more info?

If the lower thirds for all of TWC's shows were to be updated to look like Weather Center's, here's how they may look like. I used 7OA's awesome logo icons on these graphics...

If any (trustful) member would like copies of these without the copyright, let me know.

this just stengthens my opinion that they should change all the lower 3rds to the Weather Center style, lets get some conformity going TWC! NICE JOB!!!

All I can say is: 

They look a lot like the 2006-2008 ones, which I never liked. And those HUGE indicators make it look very cluttered.

I'm with you on the indicators part  . I is so hard to put a dot on the map with a name and a reading? apparently...

it seems like a lot of the maps have been altered...the temperature and precip maps especially, but the others too, in fact I am seeing many many similarities(other than the text boxes and the title bars) between these maps and the pre-HD maps...hmmm

I know! I just noticed them....TWC is finally starting to realize that flashy isnt always better. Sometimes the tried and true method is the best one. These maps look much much better. Just goes to show, less is more!

ok, so during the 8:40 segment of WC with A&B, Mike and Julie are in a set that looks like one that Forecast Earth used a lot...theyre standing in front of a flat screen TV...this combined with the other shots they've done in the old building are interesting to say the least...I guess we haven't seen the last of the old building lol
