Anyone have any ideas of what room this is filmed in?

I was able to enhance the image on the TV monitor...it is indeed a .com forecast, the map title bar gives it away... as to where it was filmed, you got me, maybe by the old A&B set? I thought they did the .com forecasts in front of the chroma wall in the studio  :hmm: guess not

there are a lot, but the two that bug me the most are actually TWC products:
The constant Storm Stories bumpers( WE GET IT, ITS BACK! OK!?)
The formerly constant WWCH bumpers/commercials(SAME THING)

5 years? That's not that old IMO.
3-5 years is actually the average usable lifespan of a computer, so my computer has been doing pretty well.
IMO, a computer should last twice that amount of time.

Also, they say you should format your hard drive and restore to factory settings once a year.
I agree....and they should, at least they used to  <_< ... I reformat every year, and it keeps it nice and fresh. I have my nice shiny new laptop and a Dell Dimension V350 from '98 in the basement. I reformat it every year, and it runs nice and fast. I upgraded it from Windows 98 to 2000 and then to XP, and it runs like new. Sure it's a little slow, but it runs marvelously for its age. That's how a computer should be!

Local Forecast / Re: Local on the 8's HD
« on: March 20, 2009, 10:48:35 PM »
Sweet!  I am looking forward to whenever it finally gets installed so I can watch TWC HD in all its glory :D  If they add the screens that are currently shown (i.e. detailed currents, day-part forecast, almanac, etc.), I think the HD Star will be a marvelous piece of technology!!
it cant be any worse than what the IntelliCrap(formerly the fine with me Intellistar, before Oct. 07) is now  <_<....or can it?

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Cable Provider?
« on: March 20, 2009, 10:36:29 PM »
I'd go for Bright house since FiOS isn't available in my neighborhood.
Darn, I knew I would forget a cable company. If Bright House is available, why don't you have it?
Umm. Can't you look and see what I have already?
lol you do have a point...however, I think this was not just a thread created to state your cable provider, but also to talk about its service, benefits, disadvantages, likes, dislikes, etc...  ;)  B)

I have and would stay with Time Warner Cable. I've had almost no problems with them' the offer HD, and are going to add TWC HD in Buffalo as soon as the HD Star comes out  :thrilled:  ....if we ever see it... for now I'm stuck with TWC |SD|...it doesn't matter really, the only HD tv in the house is in my parents room, so...  :P  :censored:

Local Forecast / Re: Local on the 8's HD
« on: March 20, 2009, 09:52:27 PM »
I think from the look of the video, TWC is trying to make it all fancy with eye candy but does anyone else think that the flashy graphics are taking the focus away from the actual information on the screen (or the lack-thereof with not having the detailed local current conditions right at the beginning of the LF)?  To add to that, has the look of the HDLF changed at all since its introduction?  Is there an actual LDL now aside from the time/temp?
Yes, TWC is trying to get fancy with it. Granted, I actually like the transitions, as I think it really is the future, but overall, I don't like the HD star. The Intellistar before October 23rd, 2007 was just fine. The transitions between pages were perfect, and added to the Local Forecast without distracting too much as they do on the HD star. TWC has made some negative changes, and they will never stop changing things until they wise-up and realize they do have fans.
I do not believe the look of the HDLF has changed much yet, last time Eltiempo10 saw it was December I believe. I agree. It looks cool, but it really detracts fro mthe info. AFAIK they are planning to have a current conditions screen and an LDL, most likely with narrations. GIVE ME THE 2003-2005 GRAPHICS PACKAGE!!!! THOSE WORKED FINE AND DONT LOOK OLD AT ALL!!!!!

Wow that's great! Cool that you have the full A&B theme as your ringtone, I gotta make something like that...how on earth did you get it? Did you piece together little snippets of it?
