I would not be surprised if this new logo goes live for everything. Think FOX News rotating logo.

That's what I was thinking....I like the concept here, it's a refreshing idea. However, I personally feel it would look better and less distracting if it did rotate like the FOX News logo.....less distracting.

That is a grand looking building  I love the HD studio, yes I'm disappointed that Weekend View never used the couch but weekend View isn't really that sort of show anymore it seems anyway. The only thing I really do miss is having the "nerve center" so-to-speak of the Weather Channel right there, behind camera. Shots from the expert desk and Satellite Center are one thing, but I do miss Studio 1A, 1B, First Outlook, etc. However, this new studio is awesome

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I was watching a program on the History Channel today, and during a section of the program there was background music. This music sounded identical to the Tropical Update music, however it sounded like a longer cut. In the linked video (property TWCFreak), the part of the music I heard can be heard between the beginning of the video and the 5 second mark. Interesting, as I thought that this piece was made specifically for the Weather Channel, and this show originally aired in February '09.

So this morning it looks like the LDA is no longer being used on the HD feed. Instead, a normal-sized LDL that cycles through the cities resides at the bottom of the screen. I'll tell ya, it's nice to finally see TWC live programming in true widescreen, something I haven't seems since the LDA has been around since I got the HD feed. Hopefully it's gone for good!

Last time I checked, none of you were perfect.  People do make mistakes and press the wrong buttons.

Neither did I. I'm just sick of them making changes in the middle of  a production. Pick with something and stick with it. If the LDA is off, keep it off. If the TWC HD logo is on, keep it on. The average viewer doesn't give a rats you-know-what, it's not like some deathly error, they probably won't even notice!

The old TWC HD logo prior to the LDA has returned!

I noticed that too....I like it a lot better than the usual one...of course when they realize they made something look good (TWC HD logo with no LDA, they change it when they come back with LDA and normal logo

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / STAR 22581 (Time Warner Cable, Buffalo, NY) Narration Issue

For the past few months, the narration on STAR 22581 here in Buffalo has occasionally been choppy or frozen altogether. It usually happens during the extended forecast descriptions, although it does not appear that the STAR itself is freezing, just the narration. I've noticed an increase of Local Forecasts with this issue as of late. Any idea what is going on?

I like the new music, a welcome change. It's kind of weird with the sound effects layered in, but they may change that. I wouldn't mind if they DID redo all of the music tracks with that little chime on the end of the WC intro, it's nice and not complicated. In two side notes, I noticed YWT doesn't use its new music much, if at all...can't complain, it sucked >_>...and PM Edition seems to be using 25th Anniversary music occasionally...odd.

I don't know what happened to Stephanie. She used to be all hyper, but ever since the YWT relaunch, she's been acting very serious. Hyper or not, she doesn't belong on mornings.

And don't even get me started on FO getting cheated out of 5-6am ET for WUWA....which spelled backwards is HURL 

What do you mean by FO being cheated out? It still airs at 5-6.
