General Discussion / Re: The Pot Belly Stove

i loved our system. Elegantly simple. Our program was called "Justice Under God" or JUG as most referred to it as. It was assigned in units, with 3 units= 1 hour. Depending on the infraction (disrespect, dress code violation, cheating, plagiarism, etc) you'd get a certain amount of hours to be served that day, no exceptions. And they'd actually make you do work too, you couldn't just sit and drool in a classroom. Examples? Clean the bathroom floor with a scrub brush. Move 100 desks and chairs to the auditorium for exams. Rub out scuff marks in the hallways with tennis balls....you get the picture. For more serious things, such as plagiarism, you were assigned 30 units (or 10 hours) of JUG, your work was give a 0%, you had to write a letter of apology to the teacher, etc. Simple but effective system. They made you stay on the straight and narrow. I never got one unit in four years. Go Jesuits.

Perhaps they:
1. don't feel like getting involved with a semi-childish discussion (read, the classic "I'm removing TWC from lineup for [insert reason here])
2. They don't want to make a statement or comment until they have some solid information on the subject.

I'm betting we could see our first measurable snowfall in the next few weeks or so. Will it stick around? Not sure.

P.S. for those of you who don't know, I'm in Bozeman, Montana for the next year, not Buffalo (attending college at Montana State University).

Ok, so Jim started off Weather Center tonight, and around 5:01 or so I noticed there's a new blue-ish glassed in area behind him over his left shoulder (viewer's right). What is it?
They started at 5PM Eastern?
Sorry, that's Mountain Time. I keep forgetting to put that down since I moved out here.

Anybody know what that black thing is I circled in red? Is it like a clicker or something? Kinda odd to be laying on the floor whatever it is.

I'd say floor mic, but that wouldn't make sense. Also, the squeeze back is being used during Weather Center currently (8:42pm)

I personally find it an interesting and welcome idea. It seems to be a good way to pull all tweets mentioning or featuring the weather into one cohesive place, which will allow you to get another's take on the weather. Seems harmless enough, and good. It has my vote.

I noticed a bit of hostility between Heather and Maria on the show that day......
How so?

I knew this was coming...
I knew that they were going to feature the Golf Channel on TWC. Seriously, Comcast and NBC both ruined TWC!
Now, I know that it is still important for golfers to check the weather conditions, its just that I hate corprate takeovers.   (nice photo at least)
Actually, for your information, the Golf Channel and TWC have worked together before, many years ago, during the end of the Live By It era. So, again, you blame NBC, and now Comcast, for something that you have no idea what you're talking about.
I remember seeing it years ago on the channel. Of all the segments that could be featured on the channel, this by far makes the most sense.

Sorry if I'm coming across as rude here, but stealing someone else's image and popping an image on there isn't really artwork IMO
Agree
I also agree.

I don't know what to say about that. It's probably just a glitch and it should come back. If not, maybe it didn't get the update, but it's not a huge loss. I'm not the person to ask because I'm a noob, apparently.
It still looks weird with out any words in the box.

My IS2 seems to be doing the same thing: the box is there, but the text is not.

Crystal Egger posted a photo of the old 3D green screen area on March 25th when it was new.

It looks like they took the corner of a studio and painted it green.
That would explain why the keying does not look that good from it.
I'm not sure exactly were it is though its still in use.
I wonder if it will eventually only be used as a backup green screen?

That definately wasn't in the HD studio.

Umm....yes it was.

I remember the other temporary green screen (the one that was in the now defunct WUWA set) was in the HD studio. I do not recall seeing this corner screen in the studio, but I could be wrong.
