Local Forecast / Re: Help! April 1991 Local Forecast Music

"Limelight" carried over into 1990 but didn't show up on playlists (that I know of). On a VHS recording I have it played in the month of June as a "J" flavor.

On the original "Suede" both Dave Koz and even Richard Elliot appear.

"Top Of Mind" by Equinox (Scott Emmerman) maybe? Another possibility might be "Yankee Swamp" by Artie Traum.

Hard to choose just one. 1993 & 1995 equally. Also 2002-2003. 1990-1996 would be my favorite period of time.

My area just hit 90°F for the fourth time this April.  This month has been wacky in terms of the temperature.

No 90°  temps here this month, the highest has been 88. April has worked in reverse. The hottest temps were at the beginning of the month and the coolest only recently. It's going to get hot again tomorrow but only for two days.

Local Forecast / Re: Classic WC tunes playing April, 2010

"Road to Venlo" - David Becker Tribune
"South of the Market" - Joyce Cooling
"When Summer Comes" - George Howard
"Rainbow Seeker" - Joe Sample
"Return of the Eagle" - Craig Chaquico

and a Brian Hughes song I can't think of.
"Deux Cafe" by Brian Hughes.

Thanks  B).  Now that I see the list I remember hearing "Road To Venio" quite a bit and "South Of The Market" I heard just a few weeks ago.

The Intellistar has it's own playlist?
Yes, it has a playlist consisting of six songs used primarily during dual-feed coverage, and sometimes randomly in error.

What are the other five songs? One of them I'm guessing might be "When Summer Comes" by George Howard, another classic tune from 1994 I've heard occasionally in the past which seemed to happen in error.

Heard two tunes from the WC classic years recently: "The Gift" by 3rd Force and "Rainbow Seeker" by Joe Sample. Both have been recycled into the locals occasionally for years. "The Gift" brings back memories of the 1994 summer season when 3rd Forces' self titled debut CD was played heavily. In fact, every song on it was used. That doesn't happen too often. "Rainbow Seeker" dates back to at least 1988.

Whoa, after the LF... it looks like the video wall popped up, with TWC [HD] in the middle of it. After about 15 seconds, it goes to another 20 seconds of Trammell.

Is this what you saw?

Dave Schwartz made the weather fun. TWC's loose studio humor over the years are one of the things I think viewers turned on to and kept them watching. Hope that doesn't get the axe too. Probably not but you never know.

0.4" of snow here last evening; 0.5" more this morning. Parts of Chester county, PA received 1-3 inches mainly on grassy areas. Temp headed for the low 20s tonight. :brr:

Hmm.. I was just thinking... now that Dave is likely going to be laid off from TWC and that he is from Philly, I wonder if he'll make his way here?

That's an interesting thought. He does have his roots here.

We had snow flurries/showers here this AM and again from about 3:00pm until 4:00pm when they changed over to rain showers. No snow accumulation, though it snowed hard for awhile (PM). The forecast here is for snow showers tomorrow that may "whiten the ground in some neighborhoods" according to Accu-Weather.

This economic downturn is apparently serious enough that TWC is being affected too. That's not good. Several long time businesses in my area have gone 'out of business' recently so I guess it's not too surprising.

The reason I say that is all the early Christmas shopping hype seems to overshadow it.
