Local Forecast / Re: A Christmas Gift - Sundown Records

Don't remember exactly myself but I think they might have been "We Wish You A Merry Christmas", "Joy To The World" and possibly "Bring A Torch Jeanette, Isabella". There was thread about the CD somewhere on the former TWCC forum. IIRC they were used sometime in the 1985-1986 period. The CD is a 1985 release.

I remember Snowflake playing vividly several times early Christmas Eve. I wish I could get my hands on the full version of it somewhere.

"Snowflake" and other Ed Reasoner tunes used to be available on nashangelesmusic but they don't seem to be there now. Good thing I got them when I did a few years ago. "Seasons Change" was a Christmas holiday tune used in 2003 and is one of my favorites. It has a bright & uplifting quality, reminiscent of the season itself. Wouldn't mind hearing that one again.

I think this is the earliest yet for an Xmas music start.

Back in the early to mid 90s Xmas selections would start about the same time. I can confirm from footage in 1994 it was at least Dec 12th and in 1995 on Dec 10th.

Cloudy with fog, 42°. First snow of the season today. Just a dusting that melted quickly.

Quiznos' 5-4-3 if youve seen them <_<

The ones with the shrieky cat voice sung to the tune of Three Blind Mice?  :pinch:

If it's truly a lawsuit it wouldn't be the first time ... Bob Stokes/Hillary Andrews. Also Marny Stanier.

I'll guess no. Remember T.S. Zeta in late December-early January 2005/2006? Another storm may or may not happen but it's been a busy year.

Probably on or about the 18th-19th as it has this past decade. I remember in earlier years the list would typically begin sometime during the first full week of December and continue until New Years. Mid month (12th-15th) until at least a day following Christmas is reasonable. Yanking it for the regular list before the day closes IMO is deplorable.

I have heard Punta del Soul by Dave Grusin a couple of times this afternoon. This played in December 2000.

Wow, "Punta Del Sol" first played in the fall of 1989. Heard it late yesterday afternoon.

Guess they have to shift programming schedules from time to time to make it fair for all. It's hard to please everyone when there are several time zones.
