Paul Kocin knew his stuff about snow/winter storms. It was disappointing when he left and was a major loss for TWC in my opinion.

You're welcome. No, don't recognize that title and it doesn't sound familiar.

I also have clips of Norweigen Mood by Oysten Sevag, Flight Hands Feet by Andreas Vollenweider, and Curves Ahead by the Rippingtons but I don't know when they aired.

Norweigen Mood aired in 1991, Flight hands/Root Feet in 1987 and Curves Ahead in 1992.

* Curves Ahead was also used in 2000.

WFMZ early this morning:

Rippington's - Curves Ahead
Pat Metheny - Last Train Home
Ray Obiedo - Real Life
You also missed out Norweigen Mood by Oystein Sevag, Just for the Moment by Dan Siegel,Craig Chaquico's Forbidden Love and Acoustic Highway, Lily Was Here by Candy Dulfer and San Diego by Peter White, which all played this morning and yesterday morning.

I couldn't ID a few so I didn't bother. I missed the Saturday AM broadcast so I don't know what played. Thanks for listing these.
you're welcome, I might've missed a few more as well, I'm not good with classic music. Do you know if Amaretto by Tom Scott and Catching the Sun by Spyro Gyra were also used on TWC? Those also played yesterday morning..

Catching the Sun has been played before, not sure about Tom Scott.

Don't know the name, but I like it. It's my favorite from the overnight list that I've heard so far.

Great Overnight Song - Dec '10 Playlist

The song is "Moonlight On The Water" by Billy Joe Walker Jr from Treehouse. This was one of the first so called New Age CDs I found back in 1987. Heard it for the first time early overnight. Pretty cool to hear this tune after 23 years of its release date. "Moonlight" along with another song I haven't heard yet according to the playlist "Midnight Romance" were two of my favorite tracks from that CD.

OCMs / Dale Eck appears on Weather View

On Weather View this morning former classic OCM Dale Eck appeared on the Winter Weather Authority segment providing storm analysis. Apparently he's the director of the Global Forecast Center. Didn't know he was still with the Weather Channel.

Because it is.

Why can you be 'under the weather' but not over it?

Local Forecast / Re: Patrick O'Hearn's "At First Light"
« on: December 21, 2010, 06:31:18 AM »
I do. It's from Patrick's Ancient Dreams recording. I have it on CD. Ancient Dreams and Unusual Climate were also used in 1986/87. There does seem to be a "world music" kind of sound on a portion of the song. That style was rather popular for awhile.
