Everything Else TWC / Re: New Weekly Planner maps

I agree. You can bearly see the maps. Plus I think they're putting too much information on at the same time.
Sure you can.  I can see that my area is going to have rain, with temps in the 50's.  I don't mind it..at all.  I actually like the idea.

So, what your saying, WeatherSTARIII, is that temperatures and precipitation is too much info at the same time?

I don't think TWC would bring in a new OCM for a replacement of a departing OCM, especially for a show like Your Weather Today.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.  We've only got just over a month with Marshall and Heather :(

Over on the Iowa side I'ves seen prices as low as $2.35.  Here on the Illinois side it's more around $2.45ish (I think)  Havn't been really paying much attention to it lately..oddly.  In fact, I better fill gas soon.

I've been quite busy myself.  I've been UNUSUALLY busy with school the past week to 2 weeks, trying to do my best I suppose.  I've also been getting college stuff together, and preparing myself for my 2nd ACT that I will be taking this Saturday.  Also, Sunday was my last day at my job, that I held for 1 year and 2 months, glad it's over.  I am not working at a Panera Bread that is just a little over a mile away from my house, it's good so far.

I will be visiting Northern Illinois University on November 10th..so that is for sure something to look forward to.

And, next week I've got fall break.

How's everone else doing?

haha.

Anyone catch SNL last night.  Palin was on, and I guess she's been referred to as Caribeau Barbie.  Never heard that one before, but it's funny!

I can't wait til 16 days is over, so I can stop hearing these stupid ad campiagns.  It'll be interesting to see what happens here in the next two weeks.  What will these cadidates do to get America's vote?

Welcome to 2008.  Racism still goes on, it's just not as bad as it used to, nor is it as publicized

I think my car is really messed up. I first noticed it when heading back to school in August. Whenever I'd travel up hill while accelerating, the car would make a jerking motion. It seems to only happen between speeds of about 40-60 mph. The jerking motion also happens occasionally when I'm sitting in traffic. At first I thought it might've been bad gasoline, because it happened right after I filled up, but I've refilled gas since then and it still does it.
The description reminds me of what happened to my piece of crap :).  Only, I don't think it quite happened like that.  My car is just kind of junk.  I'm about to go get a new car..just don't know where, when and what kind.

Did anyone catch the final debate last night?  I forgot about it, until I went to go get gas, and they had it playing in the gas station when I went to pay   So, I really didn't get to watch it.  I heard that it was pretty personal attack-ish.  I'm really glad I can't vote yet (even though I want to) because I am not even sure who I want to win.  At first, it was Obama, but after watching both him and McCain speak, they both have good ideas, but both also have..ehh...sketchy ideas.

For those who are voting, have you decided which candidate you'll vote for (mentioning WHO you are voting for isn't necessary, since it is kind of a private matter ;) )

I like the new Jeopardy music.  At least it still has the same signature.

I agree that a degree from a community college is just as good as from a University, so it shouldn't really matther THAT much.  As Gary said, a degree is a degree.  A degree in nursing from a community college is the same degree in nursing at a University.  That's really all I have to say about that.

Mike- Yes, NOW is the time to start thinking about college.  You're a junior now.  You should have an idea of where you want to go, so you can send your ACT/SAT (whichever you will be taking) score to the college.

It's funny though, because when I took my ACT, I have lost interest in 3 of the 4 schools that I sent my score to :P.  But yes, you should start thinking now, which I think you mentioned you already had a community college in mine.

Trust me, if you don't make your choices in your junior year, or whenever your counselor talks to you about it, they are going to bug you more and more about it down the road ;)
