Agreed.  I don't think it is necessary to delay..or cancel school, because your city's team is in the Super Bowl.  Poor movement made by the school district, IMO.

Simply pointless.  I do not understand at all why it would take someone nearly 4 years to buy a converter box and prepare.  I don't get it at all.  Stupid.   :hammer:

He'll probably be at a ski resort (skiing is his passion).
Right.  I remember him and Cantore reporting live from a ski resort back in 2002 (give or take a year).

I took semester finals last week.  I didn't have to take any of them, but I tooke my Trigonometry final, because I had a 79.32.  I took my final, got an 81 on it, and we have so many points, so it only took me up to a 79.50, which rounds to an 80, so I BARELY got a B- :D

Tomorrow will be the first day of school that I've had in a week.  Because of the cold, finals got screwed up.

Clearly we need to resort to unnecessary censorship.

That's probably the only segment of Jimmy Kimmel that I don't  think is stupid..and un funny :P

Obama and Biden are gonna be in DE today. It's going to be jam packed on the Amtrak lines
My school is celebrating Inauguration Day by doing special political/presidential lessons that day. IMO, that's a terrible idea. Do they not realize that there are many people like myself who have no interest in politics, not to mention that final exams are also later that week? We should be studying for that, not some stupid presidential inauguration. It's not like a person with a different skin color is going to hugely impact our country (well, it shouldn't anyway).
I disagree with your first statement.  School is not about who is interested in what, so you'll have to get over that part.

I do, however, agree with the second part-to an extent.  I do believe that this is being all hyped up because it is Obama.  But, an inauguration isn't stupid.  It is a sign for hope and change (not just Obama, but with EVERY new president who wants to change the country).  And yes, finals are important, but what's one day?  Just my opinion though.

I will be super mad if they do switch it.  I was reading an article the other day in the paper, and one of the GM's of a station said that it would cost more money for the broadcasters to keep running the analog signal (maybe the analog and digital signal..) Idk..but I don't like the idea one bit.  It's been February 17th, 2009 for 3 1/2 (give or take a few months) years.  Why change it.  Just buy it.  If TV is SUCH a necessity for the person, then it'll be a good investment on their part.

It was a brutal morning here.  Temp of -27 a couple of hours ago.  That's of course a record for the day.  But, that is just one shy from the all time record low in my city.  It's CRAZY!  Not sure what the wind chill was.  Probably around -40, since the winds aren't really moving that much.

Another "cold" day tomorrow.  No school again, which means I don't have school for a full week (we have this hit during finals week, which I don't have to take)

Also- just found out my favorite news station is getting a set make-over, which excites me.

-21 degrees right now, windchill is -44.  Also, no school here.  It is crazy cold.  The last time I saw a temp like this was probably 96 (of course, I can't remember that).  It's going to get even colder tonight!  It's crazy.

As for rap, it's okay.  I like hip hop better.  There are some rap songs that I absolutely do NOT understand.
