Programming and Graphics / Re: The WUWA Poll
« on: October 27, 2009, 07:45:13 AM »
I agree with anyone who says it's not going anywhere.  Open your eyes and see, WUWA is EVERYWHERE!  So, it's going nowhere.  I don't think some of you understand that you are not an average TWC viewer.  Many people do like Al.

I think the show would be better if Al and Steph were in the same studio, and not gone every other week.  But, I do understand both are very busy people, and dedicated to their jobs   And honestly, It's 6AM, it's not like EVERYONE is up watching :P

You've been successful with these boards, and I just want to say keep it up!

My news station just played the Balloon Boy 911 call. It sounded sooo fake.
Probably because it is :P  I am so over this whole thing.  We know it's fake, we know they will face charges eventually.  I wish the media would stop giving them what they want, face time on the camera.

I was able to catch one of the shows yesterday, and I thought it was interesting   Definitely something I would watch again.

I think it will be interesting to see the viewer's response to Friday night movie night.  I am not really excited for the idea, but it is definitely something different.  I am not really going to complain that much, because I do not watch TWC on Friday nights, so it really does not concern me.

What is a good idea, however, is Jen Carfagno hosting and giving commentary.

Police confirm "Balloon Boy" is indeed a hoax (big surprise there), and the family could face charges!

(almost) all were good :P

Martin and Spring-- that's hilarious.

Call me crazy, but I'm thinking tornadoes/tornado chasing.   :dunno: :P

It looks interesting to me.  Will I watch it?  Most likely not.

Everything Else TWC / Re: WUWA at Dunkin Donuts

Ok.  Who cares if they are promoting WUWA, that should be no reason not to visit.   The only reason you shold not visit a Dunkin' Donuts, is if you do not like the product they serve, not because of a promotion.  As some have said, it's good marketing.

(OT: Dunkin' Donuts is coming back after a 10 year hiatus in my area :D )
Kyle, I did react too much as I'm emotionally upset at what I've seen happen to TWC lately.  Yes, the advertising of WUWA in Dunkin' Donuts is a good promotion move, but I'm not a fan of both Dunkin' Donuts and WUWA.  That's why I made that statement.  Sorry if it upset you.
I apologize too.  I was upset about hearing the news of the fake balloon insident :P
No need to apologize. :D

WE all hate WUWA.so it's understandable

I am VERY dissapointed coming here and reading that The Weather Channel (?) spent SO much time covering this story   I am upset that other news outlets have been covering this story so extensively.  Talk about lack of attention for the boys parents.  I don't even have any words for this

If I wanted more on this story, I'll turn to a news channel.

General Weather Chat / Re: Winter of 2009-2010 Forecasts
« on: October 15, 2009, 07:48:05 AM »
I agree with Martin on the whole Accuweather statement.  Although I do not despise Accuwx, but their forecasts do suck.  Unfortunitely,  my favorite station for news is powered by Accuwx (partly..but they do their own forecasts :D..but that's besides the point).

Patrick, you were mentioning "be prepared for wacky weather".  This seems to be happening already.  The areas in the plains that got hit with the snow storm this past weekend, are going to see 60's this week.  crazy.  Here, we've already seen our first snow, and the first freeze.  October is the 4th coldest month on record so far, with an average high of 46 degrees (give or take a few tenths of a degree).  So yes, I can see winter as being "wacky" this year.  I like winter, so I am hoping for a few major snowstorms :D

That's be great if this forecast came out for the South and the Mid Atlantic! (for the snowlovers..that is ;) )
