Programming and Graphics / Re: TWC going all long-form Thanksgiving night
« on: November 14, 2009, 07:02:39 AM »
While I agree that it's a nice gesture by TWC to let the OCM's get a break for Thanksgiving, the weather operates 24/7 just like a hospital.  Usually, the most experienced workers would receive this break, but the younger staff would work during the holiday time if something major were to arise.  When I eventually get hired to be a meteorologist someday, I'll be expected to work holidays no matter what.
Well put

I am sure that the OCM's who work on holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving plan around their job, and do get to spend time with their families.

I am a fan of Chris Warren.  He reminds me of Adam Berg for some reason.

He and Danielle Banks would make a great team on a show (I am pretty sure they worked together on Halloween?)

Just wanted to update everyone who hasn't heard from me.....

We had MAJOR flooding in Norfolk. This was the worst flooding I have seen in my life. Our lower levels of my house flooded and significant damage was done to our yard, pier and garage.

Ill be back post and monitoring things soon
That storm is amazing.  Stay safe, Martin

I do plan on seeing 2012.. but no time this weekend.  But that is one movie that I do want to see (and I don't want to see a lot of movies :P )

Yeah, I don't understand why celebs are on WUWA.. whatever.

I am actually pleased with TWC's coverage on the "Atlantic Assault" (however--not a fan of the name)  They are not really taking anything out of proportion from what I can see.  I am enjoying the live reports as well.  Great Job, TWC (have not said that in..a while).

TWC really needs to remove longform anyway, because i know it is saving them $$$ but look at it this way they lose viewers if they put the same fluff on.
And how do you know this?   I am pretty sure that if TWC was not getting the ratings, they would not have the long form on.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Bring Back Dave Schwartz Website

While it is a great website, don't count on it doing anything on getting Dave back at TWC.  TWC is going in a completely different direction from Dave, and all of the other classics.

Honestly, I am still suprised to see Bill Keneely on.

I did, and I did have a couple sypmptoms of H1N1, but thankfully it was just my bronchial athsma acting up (I use the word "thankfully" very loosley) ha!

Speaking of Heather, I enjoy watching her and Carl on Day Planner .  Day Planner and PM Edition are pretty much the only show I am able to watch.

I think Al is saying that the flu is not as harmful as first thought.  My brother's high school had an outbreak about 2 weeks ago, where 35-40% of the school was out.  They still stayed open (they don't close school down for  :censored: ).  Just wash your hands, cover your mouth with your sleeve, and you should be fine in getting it, so no need for school to shut down.

The last two weeks she was supposedly shooting WeatherProof. She came back for a week, even though Jen Carfagno was a third host while she was on.Now she's apparently on vacation this week. I feel like she's never on anymore.. :hmm:
I imagine that she is high up on the pecking order for any future long-form shows based on her popularity, so I would not see this trend abruptly ending anytime soon.

She has a lot of stuff to do, WUWA, WeatherProof, filling in for AL at NY. Next thing I know she could be doing a live report where it's snowing! (just a thought, maybe... dont take it seriously.)
Oh lordy, Stephanie is becoming the next Al Roker  :fear: (referring to her busy work schedule..)

What’s With The Forum Banner!!!?!!!
I CAN’T TAKE IT!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!..... (he yells as he starts running is circles frantically waving his hands in the air – finally diving out the window to his certain death)

are you talking about the one with the TWCT logo?

I guess he's saying he strongly dislikes the WUWA TWCT Logo. That's a shame. :( Even if you don't like the show, I still think Jesse did a good job with the logo.

Yea our logo changes for each show.
Why? Seems pointless to me , just my two cents. Half of the time, I don't even notice the logo changing anyways
If you don't notice it, then why does it matter?  :dunno:

I like it, it's original and creative. :D  (The logos, of course)

I know she has at least 3 children.  I remember her going on maternity leave in the late 90's or early 00's, and another time with twins earlier this decade.
