Have fun, Mike! You will be surprised (or maybe not, who knows.. haha) how much work goes into making a newscast. It is simply amazing! If you ever get a chance to follow someone around for their whole day, do it!I don't think ours usually does either, but my friend and I have became very well known for giving the forecast for our school's morning show. One of the teachers at my school likes it so much that she called channel 10 and asked about sending us there to tour the building, be at the audience for the 10 show, meet Glenn Schwartz (who was at TWC for a short time), and possibly interview about our forecasts for our school. Naturally channel 10 (and us) said YES!So excited... it looks like I will be touring my NBC affiliate's studio in the coming weeks!Neat! I could very easily tour mine as I've been by it on the south side hundreds of times, but then again, I don't know if they give tours.
Is overall viewership and are ratings really going down because of Flick & a Forecast?I am assuming they have enough people watching, or else I am sure they would stop. But, like you said, it is NBCBecause if NBC had a brain, you would think they would stop this programming.
But, once again, I guess this is NBC.
haha.. "Bing-ish"..kind of sounded funny to me. Yeah, I'm not really enjoying the new look/format..but whatever.Hmm, Google has changed their look a little with a slightly updated logo and a new sidebar on the search pages.
I believe it's been like that for a couple of weeks now iirc. To be honest they made it a bit Bing-ish.
so we're starting to wrap up the semester, and my first year in college...Ugh I am jealous of your grades. I have 2 A's and 2 C's this semester (that C might go to a B ) :[. Last semester I got 2 C's 2 A's and a 2 B's I have done HORRIBLE my freshman year of college...but somehow my academic standard is "Good" so I will for sure take it haha. I am also taking a summer class, Intro to Meteorology.. Speaking of which, I have to take FOUR more math classes before I off to the University... so I might be staying an extra semester or cramming in a minimester and summer class.. I don't know yet.
what can I say? i've had such a good time, i'm definitely looking forward to next fall. i'll be taking summer courses back in San Antone (at San Antonio College) to get somewhat ahead.
so far, I have 3 A's and 2 B's...i'll take it =D
we're currently going through "dead week" which means nothing, basically. next week are finals, and soon followed by summer
I have SO much respect for Jim Cantore. Good for him for sticking up for the viewers! ABSOLUTELY rediculous. While I was not watching TWC last night, I am still outraged that they chose to show an old movie instead of giving coverage to those who needed it most. Does it surprise me they did this, not really. I thought TWC would be better than this, though. Guess not.Jim Cantore is pissed!!You mean... The Weather Channel is actually going to be providing weather reports throughout the evening? I am shocked! Whoever heard of such a thing?!It was only until 10
"I want to apollogize to all of you. I was SEVERELY mislead. Was told we were bagging the "movie" to do what this network was created for." -@JimCantore
