If you ever get a chance to follow someone around for their whole day, do it!I don't think ours usually does either, but my friend and I have became very well known for giving the forecast for our school's morning show. One of the teachers at my school likes it so much that she called channel 10 and asked about sending us there to tour the building, be at the audience for the 10 show, meet Glenn Schwartz (who was at TWC for a short time), and possibly interview about our forecasts for our school. Naturally channel 10 (and us) said YES!So excited... it looks like I will be touring my NBC affiliate's studio in the coming weeks!Neat! I could very easily tour mine as I've been by it on the south side hundreds of times, but then again, I don't know if they give tours.
Speaking of tests, my friend and I decided to change eachothers facebook passwords so that we would get our papers done, and study for finals. So we will both be facebook-less for 11 days. I have gone 14 hours without it, and I am surprisingly okay. I accomplished a lot at work today (at the times I would likely be on facebook
). So, hopefully not having facebook will improve my work for school.

But, like you said, it is NBCBecause if NBC had a brain, you would think they would stop this programming.
But, once again, I guess this is NBC.
.I was really impressed with their coverage last weekend, though
(Saturday/Sunday).

I believe it's been like that for a couple of weeks now iirc. To be honest they made it a bit Bing-ish.

« on: May 04, 2010, 10:01:59 AM »so we're starting to wrap up the semester, and my first year in college...Ugh I am jealous of your grades. I have 2 A's and 2 C's this semester (that C might go to a B ) :[. Last semester I got 2 C's 2 A's and a 2 B's I have done HORRIBLE my freshman year of college...but somehow my academic standard is "Good" so I will for sure take it haha. I am also taking a summer class, Intro to Meteorology.. Speaking of which, I have to take FOUR more math classes before I off to the University... so I might be staying an extra semester or cramming in a minimester and summer class.. I don't know yet.
what can I say? i've had such a good time, i'm definitely looking forward to next fall. i'll be taking summer courses back in San Antone (at San Antonio College) to get somewhat ahead.
so far, I have 3 A's and 2 B's...i'll take it =D
we're currently going through "dead week" which means nothing, basically. next week are finals, and soon followed by summer

Hey everyone. I just have one small suggestion.
How about when posting a picture, can you PLEASE post what we are looking at. It gets a little annoying when I look at a post with a picture saying "LOOK AT THIS!!!"...and I as well as others (who have actually said they don't know what they are looking for) find it hard to find what we are supposed to be looking for. It would make it a lot easier

While I was not watching TWC last night, I am still outraged that they chose to show an old movie instead of giving coverage to those who needed it most. Looking at The Weather Channel's facebook page, there are several people who are mad. Does TWC even read these things? I would love to know how many people actually watch the movies.

I have ice cream usually every Wednesday. It is my day off from work after usually working Friday-Tuesday, so I reward my hard work with a large chocolate-oreo malt from the local ice cream shop (best ice cream EVER..of course I am being biased )
