Bookit.com <_<
UGH! I hear ya on that one.  Unfortunately that tune gets stuck in my head all of the time.  Don't ya hate it when something is annoying and gets stuck in your head?

I've read his blog, too. It is interesting, so I'll keep an eye on it. I think he and Heather Tesch do a great job on Weekend Now, though I enjoy Heather Tesch's presentation more.
I also enjoy Carl and Heather on Weekend Now.  They both have a great presentation and know what they are talking about.  B)

Jesse is 100% correct; get whatever you can get.  As Jesse also stated, it is VERY difficult to get a job at 15.  I applied to three places when I was 15, and would call, and they said they aren't hiring 15 year olds at the moment.  Luckily, my neighbor let me work at her day care over that summer at 15, and THANKFULLY my last day at my neighbor's day care was my first day at my first "real job."  It was at fast food, which I tried so hard to avoid.  While I did not like it, I still had to go in with an open mind, and I did.  When I left, I was making $2.50 MORE than I was when I started.  Hard work pays off.

Basically, Jesse hit it right on the head.  Persistence pays off.  I waited FOUR months for the job I have now.  I kept calling until they said they would call me back when they had an opening.

Interesting; the "Pepsi Refresh Project" came and taped a commercial in my city.  Just saw the commercial on MTV.

General Discussion / Re: Hooray the Lakers win!!!!!

Kind of rooting for the Celtics, but both teams played great games.  They were neck-and-neck for quite a while last night, especially near the end. Thought maybe there would be OT, but the Lakers pulled it off.  Congrats to them.

Just glad it's OVER and I don't have to be at work til 1145/midnight anymore :D

Forgot to mention this before I went on hiatus (I apologize if I did mention this somewhere else)... just about two weeks, Kim Perez just had her last show before her wedding and her honeymoon. on her facebook, she mentioned that she'll be back on June 21, but she will no longer be Kim Perez. She'll be Kim Cunningham. :)
That is really interesting that she is going to go along with the name change.  Although this is not unheard of, most women keep their maiden names for TV.

Congrat to Kim :)

Sorry that I haven't been around a lot over the past few days guys. I have a had practice graduations, piano recitals and Harborfest (big local festival) thats been keeping me busy. Ill try to catch up on everything :)
How exciting!  When do you graduate?
-----
I am without a car for a while.  My transmission is basically shot, and my car is sitting at a random gas station 2 1/2 hours from my house.  My parents are headed up there today to get it with a dolly, and hopefully we can find out exactly what's wrong and (hopefully) get it fixed.
Tomorrow :) Ugh that sucks about your car! :(

Hmm, that seems odd that you would graduate on a Tuesday.  But congrats, Martin!  As some of us mentioned a little while back.. it's one of the best feelings to be done, and it's very surreal.  Have fun!

And yes, it does suck about my car, my baby :( haha.  Luckily it can get fixed for a price that I am confortable paying.  If it was too much, I would have payed the car off and junk it, and then get a new one.  I am glad I am not having to do that, because that would be my 3rd car in just as many years :P.

As if there was not enough coverage on all the major and cable networks . Oh well, not at all surprising.

Aside from my car problems, I rode my first rollercoaster(s) this weekend at SixFlags.  WHAT A RUSH! I loved it!

Not wearing contacts... I heard a lot of rumors of how they cause diseases, plus I can't stand putting something into my eye... it gives me that awkward feeling.

My friend told me he wore glasses that supposedly help improve your vision and it worked for him. I'll have to look at those.
Not sure about those diseases, so they probably are just a rumor.  But I do know a lot of people who tried contacts, and couldn't stick with them because of that "awkward felling" you are talking about.

My dad and brother have just gotten used to them I suppose.

Everything Else TWC / Re: TWC Poll
« on: June 12, 2010, 12:41:19 PM »
I rated TWC a 6.   I think they have way too much long-form (duh), too much going on at the bottum of the screen, and too much news (I love my news, but love my weather more :P).  Like "Drobbins" mentioned, they tend to spend a lot of time showing and repeating the same story over and over again, especially the tragic ones.  I agree that people should know about it, but don't let us know unless there is NEW information.  Tell people to log onto weather.com to read the story or something.

However, when they do have weather coverage, I believe they do a pretty good job overall.  I am always impressed with their severe weather and hurricane coverage, not too mention they have 2 experts who are intelligent in their field.  I could care less about what music plays on Local on the 8's..so that had nothing to do with my score.

I love wearing hoodies.  Nice and confortable.  Not too heavy and not too light.

Well, you guys are lucky, because my high school nor my college has a television studio or program.  It upsets me greatly.  My college got rid of their radio/tv program 2 years before I got there :(.  It does not make sense though, because there is a TV station (PBS afilliate) located on campus.
