Happy 21st!  Enjoy and have fun! :drunk:

Also, is that Samantha Mohr in that first post?

According to my parents, it was when I was 5 years old; used to watch it with my grandpad.  I remember watching TWC from 1998 on.

It's been a rather quiet July to this point.  El Niņo is officially over according to the recent data from the Climate Prediction Center, so it seems that the Atlantic should get a boost on favorable conditions as this season progresses.
And it looks as if this is exactly the case.  In another thread, someone mentioned there are 4 areas that are being watched for tropical development.

I definately like the new topo graphs

Unrelated, I am not really a fan of the new weather.com'; luckily I am not a frequent user.

Al was struggling speaking a little this morning on WUWA.  He was studdering quite a bit.

For my 9th Grade year i signed up to take courses for Meteorology, but I don't get a schedule until the week before school starts.
They offer meteorology courses at your school in the 9th grade? Lucky
None of the schools do that here :( In fact most people I know/knew in school hate meteorology and wish they didn't have to learn the aspects of it in some science courses
Most people in my COLLEGE LEVEL Meteorology course hate meteorology and wish they didn't have to learn the aspects of it :P  I, of course, loved it!

My high school did not have any course for meteorology, but Earth Science did cover some basis.

A 12-pack of Mountain Dew Distortion and Toothpaste :P.  I went to Target to get toothpaste, and noticed while walking past the soda aisle, that there were only 2 12-packs (at 2 bucks a piece) of Mtn. Dew Distortion left.  Had to buy one..haha.

I didn't know Weekend Outlook was still a show. :P
That's definitely NOT a blooper.
Right.  It was just a graphic used to show the "weekend outlook" or weather...

How can you have 6 wisdom teeth? I thought you could only have 4...
4 is the most common.  Some people have more than that.  When I got mine out a month or so ago, the oral surgeon has said he has removed up to 9 before!

Speaking of wisdom teeth, I'm getting all three of mine pulled out next week on the 21st.
Good luck! You will be just fine :) They give some good pain meds so afterwards the pain isn't a problem
It'll be good to get them out now and not have to deal with them for the rest of your life.  I am an idiot and got them out 2 at a time instead of getting all four pulled.

A friend of mine just had SIX wisdom teeth removed..she got lucky  :pinch:

When did they get a table?
I kind of like it :P  Is the "Digital Media Center" a new feature?

I have said it before and I will say it again; I am glad they continue to make use of the old TWC studio on air.

Also, I was watching Weather Center (Tuesday I believe) and it seemed that the entire half hour I watched, Maria LaRosa was in the HD studio sitting at the desk (with the world map as the backdrop) and Jim Cantore was at the "Expert Desk."  Not once, to my knowledge, did they use the large video wall in the studio.  Maria basically just anchored the show from the desk. I found it interesting.

Did anyone else notice this?

Programming and Graphics / Re: Wake Up With Al
« on: July 13, 2010, 10:26:37 AM »
I happened to be watching Wake Up With Al and around 9:24 CT, Al was being comletely obnoxious.  They were talking about the new weather dot com (they being him and Mike Bettes) and after Mike was done talking, he made a stupid joke saying "Hey Mike, does Jim Cantore say "More flags, More fun?"  He was trying to be like that bald guy on the Six Flags commercials.  It may have been a stupid joke, but he nailed it right on the head :P

Mike- as Patrick and Martin said, you should be fine after a day.  And trust me, that whole 24 hours, you are not going to really want to be doing anything :P
