General Discussion / Re: What do you drive?

Do you like your Corolla? A friend of mine is thinking of getting one.

I drive a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora, and I LOVE it!  It's got better features than my mom's 2002 Chrysler Sebring :P

They won't lay him off.. heck, NBC won't even give him a break!

and neither is Stephanie Abrams.  She hasn't had a break afaik.
Tell me about it.  She is always live somewhere, filling in for Al on TODAY, or taping shows.  She seems like a gal who likes what she does, though.

Okay so how are they working out?  Do they use the same set/personalities?  Or do they try and make the news unique?

Hey everyone.  I have a question for you all.  Is there currently a 'duopoly'within your television market?  This basically means one station doing news for themselves and another station?  The station I work at is going to start doing news for the local Fox afilliate, and I am just curious how duoplies work out in other markets.

It will be alright, guys.  I am sure you all will at least make one friend in each class.  In fact, I would reccommend it; it makes things MUCH easier.

During my senior year, I got out one hour early, and I absolutely loved it.  It was only an hour, but oh man if I had to spend that hour in school I would have gone crazy. :P

I agree with Martin, Thanksgiving is too early.  However, a local radio station here starts on Black Friday for those who go Christmas shopping.

I think December 1st would be a great time to start the Christmas music.  I consider the Christmas season to be the entire month.

This morning I was watching Your Weather Today, and I heard Mike Bettes mention "Taking a look at 'Live Action Radar'" SEVERAL time (almost to the point where it was too much).  I did not understand why he was calling it by that name.  Apparently that is what they are now calling it, because during PM Edition, a graphic with a "woosh" popped up with "Live Action Radar" on the graphic.  Kind of interesting they are calling the Radar by that.

I think something is wrong with my car's engine. Last year, my muffler/exhaust went and I had to replace it. Now this year it seems to be going again, as the engine is loud and making popping sounds whenever I accelerate. Last Saturday, the check engine light was on, but it went off after a few hours and I don't think that had to do with this (but rather with the gas cap which I also need to replace). Any ideas? I don't want to have to replace my exhaust again, as it cost almost $1,000 to get it replaced last year. I have a '97 Camry V6, with 129,000 miles on it. It's only been about 10,000 miles since I installed the current exhaust system on it.
I would take it into a mechanic to see what is wrong with it.  Don't "think" it's something, because you might be wrong and that could lead to something even wrose.  Trust me.  Better safe than sorry.

Great video find, Al!  DEfinitely loved that music.

I do remember someone posting a link that indicated Steeve was a freelancer.  Best of luck to him in Pittsburgh!

Wow, I come back from my night out with my friends and all of the sudden my parents have planned to go to the beach this weekend. To be honest I have traveled so much. I need a weekend off.
Are you REQUIRED to go?

Yet another thing I hate I forgot: Kesha. I found her overrated (same thing as justin  :censored:er) and I never care about her music at all.
She is my weakness.  They are great ones to jog to. :P  WIERD! I know.. don't judge.

Well my cousin got kicked out of school today. He left his classroom and came into mine. He seemed to have a bone to pick with the guy sitting behind me. He came skipping in and said "Hi" and proceeded to beat him up, with markers in his hands to prevent his hands from breaking. Our teacher tried to break it up but they continued, they eventually got pushed into a lamp, breaking the (fluorescent) bulb in it and screwing up the lampshade, as teachers apprehended him, his necklace broke, spilling those little white "shark teeth" all over the floor. As the kid he beat up left the room, he was in the teacher's hands and said "You don't have to hold on to me, i'm not going to do it again." I'm scared of him now. I used to like to hang around him, but now, I want to be as far away from him as possible.
Good grief!  No one should ever let their emotions drive themselves to this point in being so far out of control.  I gather that it happens more often in school these days, but it still doesn't make it right.
Exactly, not right at all.  Violence is not the answer at all.  It frustrates me when people fight; what does it do?  Nothing.  You're not cool if you gave someone else a black eye, or made their nose bleed.  You're an idiot
NEVER understood physical fighting.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Does anyone know what happened to Chris Warren and Alexandra Steele? Ever since, that "adult oriented Tomorrow's Talker" segment, they haven't been on WC or on TWC ever since.
That was quite the segment. But yeah,as everyone else is saying, they're probably just on vacation.

What was this "segment"? :dunno: And how come Jim is never on...after all, HIS name is part of the show title. :P
Just like Your Weather Today with ABRAMS and BETTES...and they are RARELY together.  Just drop the last names.

Speaking of which, Jen Carfagno.  Is she technically still one of the hosts of First Outlook, and if so who is her co-anchor?  Now that Jeff Morrow has been making more appearances, is he the co-host still?
