I bought an Etch-and-Sketch and donated it to Toys For Tots.

Awesome, Martin!  That's one place I would love to be one day, NYC around the time of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

That's too bad, I liked getting up with Maria and Kelly every Sunday morning.  Kelly Cass has really grown on me the past couple years.  She is very enjoyable to watch.  I wish her the best of luck with her new shift.

Is Nicole just going to be appearing on a fill-in basis?  If so, that's fine by me.  I've never really been a fan of her.  Like Zach said, Nicole's got her other job as well to keep her busy.

I find it very interesing Jen is headed to the weekends.  I would think TWC would want to keep her on the weekdays.  Weekend View is a highly rated show, so I guess it does make sense that they would put Jen there.  I think her and Eric will make a great team.

Do we know what is happening with Maria LaRosa?

It makes me laugh that this is "shocking" and "unbelievable."  As Martin said, it is totally common.  Diane Sawyer goes by her middle name.  Not sure what her first one is.  It's a good idea, I think.

Hopefully everything is alright with Alex and her family, and hopefully we'll hear some sort of response or statement from her soon.
I don't really see why she would make a statement. No other OCMs have. In fact I imagine she enjoys being left alone for a while. Seriously have you seen some of the creeps who post on her facebook page? What is wrong with some of the people in this world. Its sickening

Yes, I have seen some of those creeps that post on the OCM pages.  I went to Nicole Mitchel's page, and I was shocked at the comments being said, most from older men.  I guess it's the price you have to pay being in the spotligh.  I guess you have to simply ignore it.

I wasn't able to catch Conan's show tonight, but I definitely will be watching Tuesday night.  He's got a different sense of humor, and that's why I like him.

Yes, I have Veterans Day off.  I'll be visiting the University I am transferring to in the fall :)

My winter break runs from December 17th through January 17th.  However, I only get to enjoy about 16 of those days, as I am taking a winter class :(.  Oh well, you do what you have to.

I am jealous of those with fall break.  I was spoiled with fall break in high school, but I don't have that luxury at the community college.

It seems at least once a week, there is a story on the news about Facebook having security issues.  So far, so good on my end.  I've never thought about deleting mine.  It's the first thing I check in the moring, and the last thing I check before bed.  I can, however, live without it.  Finals week, Facebook is a no-go.  A friend and I change eachother's passwords, it's great!

Daylight Savings Time ending is a wonderful event.  I am looking forward to that extra hour :).  I am not, however, looking forward darkness at 4:30 :P

Mike, that's too bad.  I think everyone should care what goes on in the political world.

I'll be honest, I have absolutely no opinion on anyone.  While I do work in the news industry, I couldn't tell you anything about any of the candidates.  I just have not been able to get into this election.  Usually I am.  I wish I cared, but I honestly do not.  I am surprised, however, that Illinois is leaning more to the right than the left.

Maybe I'd be more interested if every commercial was not a political ad bashing another politician.  How about some  POSITIVE ad's from politians telling the viewer why voting for them will make a difference.
Thank God it's over.

You mean "wrongful termination"?  Yeah, companies can be held responsible.
There has to be a valid reason.
Technically, they do not have to give a valid reason for being let go .

It's sad, but that's just the way it is.  Hopefully these laid off meteorologists find new work on-air somewhere else.
