What a bizarre 24 hours.  Yesterday, it was raining, with temps in the upper 50's.  Right now, it is 18 degrees.  This is why I love weather.  One week ago, there was nearly 10 inches of snow on the ground.

Is there a voice condition that makes it sound like someone needs to clear their throat ALL the time? If so Todd Santos definitely has it. It's really annoying that he cant clear his throat.
I know, that's really annoying.
I am glad I wasn't the only one not noticed that.  Don't they have cups of water handy at the desk or are there too many electronics? B)

I actually think that is how he talks, unfortunately.  I am not a huge fan of Santos' presentations.

On another note, I am not feeling Crystal Egger.  She seems to stumble on her words quite a bit.

I am completely jealous of those being affected!  Looks like it's going to be a pretty healthy snow.

I do have a question about the computer models.  I have heard that meteorologists usually pay more attention to the European model during winter, because they can predict where a storm will move more accurately? Is this true?

Sounds like a great Christmas for many of you!

Hope that's the same for everyone else.  I had a great Christmas.  Spent Christmas Eve with my grandparents and all of Christmas day with my mom, dad and brother.  I got a couple surprise Christmas gifts, so that is always nice.

However, I did have to work for about 4 hours, but I didn't have to go in until 6:45PM, so I was able to eat Christmas dinner with my family.

Anyone watch the lunar eclipse? I managed to get this shot

Unfortunately I was not able to see it because of snow, but that's alright.  Awesome shot, Martin.

You know, I noticed that the other day as well.  Good for him for not dying it.  I think you should be happy with what you have.

On another note, I noticed this past weekend, and the one before that, Jeff and Danielle Banks do NOT make a good team.  I think Danielle likes to ad-lib a lot, and makes it awkward between her and Jeff :P

I agree, Martin.  Time's Person of the Year hasn't been impressive lately.

Good luck to everyone with their exams.  My finals are unofficially over, I just need to show up for my computer programming final and fill out a sheet that says I am not taking the optional final. Glad this semester is over.  I start a 12-day semester on Monday, taking one class.  Then I have 3 classes next semester and then I transfer!

Also, great to hear some of you are getting snow!  I love the stuff.  Got a fresh 4 to 5 inches on the ground, which has pretty much set in stone a white Christmas with the threat of a few more inches Sunday night/Monday.

Communications or meteorology major.
Same boat here.  I am actually thinking of doing a major/minor.  I plan on majoring in Meteorology, and minor in Broadcast Communications.  I would love to be an on-air meteorologist, and cover hard news.

I am 3 classes  away from getting my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts at my local community college, and then I am transfering to Northern Illinois University in August and majoring in Meteorology, and minoring in Broadcasting (that minor is a tentative plan).

I currently work at a local television station, and that has pretty much set in stone what I want to do.  I was afraid getting into tv news at such a young age would scare me away. It is stressful, but it's also rewarding when things go right.

Environmental Geography sounds interest, Billy.

Ugh..don't remind me.  My finals week is a week from Monday.  My life = non existant for the next week and a half.
