OCMs & Personalities / Re: Stephanie Abrams
« on: February 10, 2008, 09:24:48 PM »

And please excuse me , but why do u start every word with a capital letter like

"Stephanie Abrams Has A Cute Face"

Why does it matter?

Anyways, I think Stephanie is very attractive.  She is also a good OCM, but I have not seen her in months.

Over in Iowa they are down to as low as $2.80, here in Illinois, I've seen anywhere from $2.99-$3.09

Darn, if only elections were held in 2009 :P

I would love to vote in this election, because possibly, it could be a historic one.  Scratch that, it already has been historic.

I just can't believe it's already been about 4 years since the last election

Oh well.

I've pretty much decided that Barack or HIllary would do a fine job.  They basically stand on the same side with most issues (there are a few they disagree on).

It's rediculous for a teenager to have credit cards, I think.  Unless they do it responsibly I suppose.

I also never plan to have a credit card, ever.  I don't want to deal with the bills.

Yup, Romney dropped out, and hasn't backed anyone.

I suspect that McCain will take the nomination, and Huckabee will be McCain's VP.

The Democratic side of things sure are going to be interesting

According to the New York Times, Congress has just passed an economic stimulus package to the tune of $168 billion. The terms of the package are:

-Rebates of $300-$1200 for taxpayers
-Payments of $300 to people who paid no taxes, but earned from Social Security or veterans benefits

oh did they?

good.. that's what I like to hear.  I just wonder if it is actually going to help boost the US economy..

Winter storm warning here, with 6-10 inches plus expected.  The plus is uncertain, because of the fact that some areas could see thundersnow (and I hope my area is one of them!)

Also, massive job cuts at local station KWQC, as their parent company, Young Broadcasting is suffering..majorly.  Already teh ND and cheif meteorologist of 22 years have been axed, with 25% of the empoyees who are left, leaving tomorrow.  All of the anchors, except 2 of the 8, have been with the station for over 10 years.  And, this station has been the number one station for 28 years, and has only been number 2 for 5 years, and was number one when they first signed on.  Yikes.

What I don't understand, is that Young has KLFY down in Lafeyette, LA, and has an anchor who has been there since 1969, and hasnt canned her.  The only stations I've heard cuts at have been KWQC, WTEN in Albany New York, and WKRN in Nashville.

This should be interesting.

I am excited for TWC to ring in High Definition.

I really wish we could get a sneak peak at the new studio, you know?

So Sonic has a bad reputation?
Not a clue.  I have no knowledge of Sonic what-so-ever.

All I heard, is that the food is not worth what you pay, but the slushes and drinks are well worth it.

I've heard theonly thing good Sonic has, is their drinks.

People are weeping at work because there is a new sonic opening down the avenue, and they see it as a threat.  Yea, maybe for the first couple of weeks, but idk.

HOW could I miss this thread?

WQAD-TV 8 (Moline, Illinois)- my favorite local news station
WHO-TV 13 (Des Moines, Iowa)- sister station, they share a lot of same stories
KLFY-TV 10 (Lafeyette, LA)- a local meteorologist from here went down there, and a local met from down there came here..that's how I discovered that station.
KSDK-TV 5 (St. Louis, MO)- Just like the station
KLKN-TV 8 (Lincoln, NE)- Sister station of a local station here, and is 10x better
