I must say, it was sort of a shocker to hear Cantore was going to be a part of this program. It's no secret something on that show needs to change; maybe this is it. I like Maria LaRosa and Mike Bettes a lot, and think they deserved something better. Can't say I am a huge Sam Champion fan, but he talks way too much and tries to take the spotlight. I do like Jennifer Delgado, so it'll be interesting to see her, along with Cantore on the program.

I don't think I've ever rolled my eyes at this show as much as I did this morning. They were talking about the new study that people take hurricanes with female names less seriously than ones with male names. Maria mentioned they are going to have the scientists who did the study on the show for questions, and of course, Sam had to make it about himself saying something along the lines of "good, anytime we have something like this, I want to have it backed up with science." Then they toss to that sports guy, and he makes fun of the situation saying something about names like "Bob" or "Scott" aren't taken seriously. You could just sense Maria and Carl were NOT into that conversation

In my honest opinion, and I'm trying not to be too harsh, but the show sucks. Bad. I liked Sam a lot on GMA, but he's just too much on TWC. He always seems to interrupt the others when they're talking, and goes off topic ALL the time.
There is no chemistry between the four, which makes it very hard to watch (especially for a morning show). The morning's were definitely better with just Mike & Maria, and clearly the ratings tell that story. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the show in the future, especially if ratings continue to decline.

That was for "World Autism Awareness Day."

Mike Bettes posted a behind the scenes video yesterday on his Facebook and there was not one positive comment below it. People aren't happy with the new show, at all. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the future.

I watched the first hour this morning, and I have to say this show is really hard to watch. Mike looks very uncomfortable, and there doesn't seem to be much chemistry between the four. They say in the promos "It all begins with weather" (or something along those lines), but there's not really much weather. I wonder how long this format will last. Kind of reminds me of "Weekend View" several years back.

« on: March 24, 2014, 11:47:12 AM »I watched the debut and to me, there's too many people. You need four people to run a show? Plus 4 hours is a very long time. The set looked nice and that effect of the map coming up off the floor was interesting. Being a new show, it's going to take some time to get the flow working, which it needs...Playing devil's advocate here. How is 4 people too many? Good Morning America has 5 and they are the highest rated morning show. Is it too many people for the format?

So, who watched "AMHQ?" I see it's getting a lot of negative feedback on Facebook. Apparently not much weather? I only caught the last 3 minutes so I obviously have no opinion on it.
