Inquiry for our TWC drinking game...when a OCM mentions isobars, how many drinks is that?  Sam Mohr just mentioned them.
WHY is this the first I'm hearing of this?!

Locals over the commercials is directly the fault of someone/something not cuing the STAR properly.
No one controls it, its all part of a rundown thats in sync with master. Its problaly something like a GPI miss-fire.

Hey Folks.. After a few months of complete darkness I've re-wired everything for transmit, all audio has been re-done, as well as some of the video equipment. There were quite a few issues with audio getting from the mixer through the digital / analog conversion, but all issues should be fixed.

Right now, I am streaming the live feed from master. I have the multi-viewer on air right now, but this is just for testing purposes. When actual broadcasting starts, the stream will only display what is in the "PROGRAM / TRANS O/P" box.

Let me know how the quality is... How is the video? How is the audio?
For those of you wondering, the clip is of A&B on August 14th, at 7:00 PM

Should I be using uStream, or Windows Media Encoder? Comments and suggestions welcome!

On a lower third, they just displayed Tom Moore's name as "Moore, Tom". They quickly took it down afterward. My question is: how did they even make that mistake in the first place?
Apparently there are no "I can answer that!" images on google... Grr...

Anyways, there are two modes to the CG system, well 3, but only 2 are used while on air... the 3 modes are Edit, Playlist, and Animation...

Since you guys dont have the program, let use powerpoint as an example...

Edit mode in CG world is like having the main slide you are working with in the big box, and having all other slides on the boxes to the side.. Usually, the slide in the big window is the one that is on air. The operator can change the titles live, by double clicking a slide on the left, thus bringing it to air.

Playlist mode is where all slides / titles are listen in a big (what looks like a table) list format. This mode shows NO preview of what the slide / title will look like, but it does have a user enterable text description, and the actual key text.

I assume to operator was in Playlist mode to achive this error. Before the show the CG operator must have accidently renamed the actual title, instead of the custom usertitle.  Why they would give it a custom title with the name formatted like that? I dont know. What ever helps the operator do the job.

And of course, the last mode, Animation. People who go in there and mess with settings, well, die. Those are custom setting that control every frame of the flying key animation. These never get changed between shows, or at ANY time.

What's wrong w/ bolt wx?  What you all are doing is prejudice.   Let's wait for the site to even come out.
It's just the same as SS8. the same leaders, same maps, graphics... everything, but just a different name ;)

No one has taken over, and we are not the same as SS8. The graphics and maps are still the same as SS8 because we made the decision literally just a day before this happened, so we didn't have time to make anything new. This is also why our stream hasn't been updated in a few days.
The maps are more or less taken directly from weather.com, aren't they?
I think the more suting word would be "transcribing" from weather.com....

Does anyone know where I could get ring tones with TWC's music packages?
Current, or old?

I just heard the exact same music used for the TWC RoadCrew opener used in a TBS commercial!
Yeah - its used everywhere here in Canada - It's a segment theme for CTV's Canada AM.. Wish I knew what it was though.
