Interesting; Jim Cantore basically just touted this storm as "a fun time".
Can you blame him?!

Is the entire media hyping about this pathetic storm?
CNN is :P They talk about it for maybe every 15 / 30 minutes for only about 5 minutes. IMO, it's a good balance.

I was just asking those questions to see what I can help Chris with. I don't want to say "Take out the card and clean it and put it back in" for a USB tuner...
You don't want to say that with a PCI tuner either.

is it an internal PCI or external USB tuner?

I've been a television producer for 7 years now, and in those 7 years, I've problaly made a mistake on every show I've ever done. It may not be noticable to the home viewer, but everyone in this industry makes mistakes, we're only human.

That's what the tech support guy said.
I will find a way to extract the word "dumb ass" from the word tech, even if it takes me a million years!

Try uninstalling the the drivers and everything. This could be a problem with the encoder
That makes no sense at all.  <_<
Yeah it does. I did it and it worked for me.
Yeah - but what you said about it being the "encoder" - thats the part that makes no sense.

I know about using webserver software on Windows, but not the Windows Server OS itself.
Yeah - that was my problem, I was using XP as a server, which Billy agreed, XP is NOT designed for, which is why I've got Windows Server 2003 now. :P

Here is a picture of Ubuntu. (It is installed via Wubi, meaning that it is installed on the same partition as Windows.)
I was really considering installing Ubuntu as my main server last week, opted not to.
