About a minute ago, Mike Bettes' signal messed up and the picture froze on him, and shortly there after, you could hear Mike whispering "Jesus...". Sounds like he was a bit pissed off there.Heh - that was pretty funny.
does anybody know how to contact the STAR team?Check, check, check your PM's.
Yes, it's in HD; it figures that I fell asleep, and the 10AM-12 PM CT hours aren't recorded. I'm back recording now, though.I've got it all recorded.
No. Only I can see it, it's not on a "Dish" satellite, it's on a "feed" satellite that is operated by Echostar. It requires a Motorola MPEG / PowerVu receiver to get it.Just to add to what I said, I think I found it. He's on AMC 5, possibly. I will head out and lock a dish to it and report back. If I DO obtain the feed, I will stream it online. So only us with Dish can see it?
Landfall could only a few hours away. This storm is a category 2, and they're still not in Storm Alert. Could we see it at noon eastern?I thought you said you had work at 8?
...I guess I won't be able to find out, I'll be at work.
It happens every night during all four hours of EEWC. I reported this issue to the STAR Team over 30 days ago, but they don't seem too bothered to fix it anytime soon. :/I also noticed Jim wasn't looking at the camea for the whole opener at 11:00PM, he was looking at something off to the right for the whole thing.
I moved on...The LDL on Dish Network is just rotating city names, no WX.
I'm confused here... I thought we were talking about the lower third graphic that was being used to display information about Dolly?
Yeah, thats how it worked last time when ever I saw them go in to S.A.First time poster hereIf they plan on going into Storm Alert for this system, with the way things have gone so far this hour, it likely won't occur until 3 AM CT - the start of First Outlook.
If they're removing the stuff now, how much you wanna bet they'll be in Storm Alert at Midnight?
Shh!I just saw one!Hey, you seem them every local forecast.
...and surprisingly, EEWC just grazed over the topic of Dolly and focused instead on the region-by-region forecast. It also looks like they might not even go live through the night. This is nothing like we would've seen two years ago. They even just pulled the "Dolly Box" half way through the segment, havent seen it since. Also dropped the lower third I've seen most the night.
