I'm with Billy on this one. It's probably so that blue sponsor area doesn't look "out of place."
I remember watching TWC on a LCD TV the other day and looking at the blue area and thinking the exact same thing, it looked so out of place and stuck out like a soar thumb.

I'll get the DBS feed in the next week and double check what I said.

The Game Room / TV Slogans
« on: August 22, 2008, 07:09:05 PM »
So I thought I should start a topic on TV station slogans.

I was reading on WZZM13's Wikipedia page, and I found all of their slogans

  • "Wake up to a better morning." & "Come home to a better evening." (current)
  • "The Most Accurate Forecast in West Michigan" (current)
  • "Mornings Are Better" (current)
  • "People Make the Difference" (current)
  • "The Breaking News Leader" (2006)
  • "The Severe Weather Leader" (2006)
  • "WZZM Means Business" (2003)
  • "The WZZM 13 News Difference" (2003-2004)
  • "Feel the Difference" (1998-2003)
  • "13 Works for You" and "Working for You" (1996-1997)

Now, you didn't think I posted a topic, just to outline TV slogans, did you?!

I looked over the slogans and thought that if you add " - in bed" to the end of every one of those, they are hillarious!

Check it out:

  • "Wake up to a better morning in bed." & "Come home to a better evening in bed." (current)
  • "The Most Accurate Forecast in West Michigan in bed" (current)
  • "Mornings Are Better in bed" (current)
  • "People Make the Difference in bed" (current)
  • "The Breaking News Leader in bed" (2006)
  • "The Severe Weather Leader in bed" (2006)
  • "WZZM Means Business in bed" (2003)
  • "The WZZM 13 News Difference in bed" (2003-2004)
  • "Feel the Difference in bed" (1998-2003)
  • "13 Works for You in bed" and "Working for You in bed" (1996-1997)

 :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Dave & Hillary Moment
« on: August 22, 2008, 06:21:02 PM »
Who here recorded the Dave and Hillary moment when Hillary mentioned the magic number being 32 (about there being 32 named storms), but Dave corrected her and said that there were 23 named storms? Felipe had this uploaded onto YouTube but its not there anymore, and I can't remember who originally recorded it. If you did, can you post it here?
I think I have it on my server at home, I'll check when I get home.

Yeah... That system is called an IntelliStar. ;)
Yes - but the blank satellite feed has the sponsorship placement too ;)

Err, thats inserted by the same system that adds the little advertisements in the corner during the LOT8's. I assume they just have it there as a place holder.

Look up some videos with sponsorship logos, you'll notice they appear at the same time, or start to "animate" at the same time.

Your comparing Bose audio speakers, to laptop audio speakers...

372
Well that's a fine f*** you.  :whistling:
I could care less about the STAR, its the IRD that concerns me. Thats all TWC is problaly concerned about as well. That IRD can access more than TWC, it can access any encrypted signal off of the AMC satellites.

I have another question, when did TWC first get their BMI license to air the lf music?
1843 B.C.
Odd because TWC first came on air in 1982 :P
As you can see, they were *way* ahead of the game.

I've put a ticket in with the support desk to locate the owner of the unit, and get it shipped back.
Will he be fined?
I've never dealt with this type of thing, so I have no clue.
