Just to have my input, I like a da' boobies!

Oh, and back to my topic: main reason for TWC Control Room production staff layoffs:

http://www.rossvideo.com/overdrive/overdrive_overview.html

Shows like A&B, EE, FO, have two people whom are controling the whole show (technically one, but another is there as the producer / backup). Any show is really like this unless TWC is in storm alert, then the control room has about 4 or 5 people in it.

This product, Overdrive, allows you to create the entire show from scratch create a run down, then at the top of the hour when you go live, automate the whole thing with the tap of the spacebar. Cameras, lights, CG, video servers, switcher, audio board, screens, are ALL controlled with this one computer.

Haha - yeah, Gary, just after I posted that I noticed the threads about it, and no, I didn't fall asleep in the shower, though it has happend before. I just had to do some work stuff before my shower. :P

Basically, I was down at TWC for an install this past week.. I can't yet disclose what was installed, but I can tell you that over 3 quarters of the control room staff have been laid off because of this install. Basically, for a typical crew, not under S/A or anything, there are only 2 people running the shows now.

2) Some big changes have happend at TWC... Like, job cuts big...
3) Sarah Palin & Chocolate Rain guy are both on YouTube LIVE tonight!

I will expand on all three of these topics, right after my shower!

Alright - so way back when I had the idea for KSMI.. I went a 'tad nuts and ordered quite a bit of equipment... So it all got shipped about 2 weeks ago, UPS sent out emails saying where it was and all that neat stuff... But those emails got filtered and sent to an alter-ego email account, an account I checked today... so I went down and picked everything up...

Anyone need some broadcast equipment. :P

Do modems even serve a purpose anymore?

I've been trying to come up with an excuse to use some of mine, but can't find one. Stupid technology. :hmm:
Create a home network with two dial up modems and a PBX... You can have a 28.8 kbps home network and transfer text files from one computer to another!

Well, sorry I've been away for most of this week guys... I've been doing some travelling:

This was all a 3 day trip (look at the history dates :P )

I had my blackberry on all the time and this is what the GPS tracking software created!
