But I cant play it for others in any way.
What do u mean by that?
I can personally listen to the song, and someone standing around me can listen to it. But like I cant play it on TV, the radio, over walkie talkies, anything.

Most of it has been through DeWolfe and Westar.
Yeah, I can listen to it my self. But I cant play it for others in any way. They dont track it, but they do have a like anaylist team that watches channels and listens to radio stations listening for BMI music and records what time they heard it so they can see if they paid the licencing fees to do so.

Have you purchased any Samuel Lincoln tunes?
Yes, one.. I can't remember the name, I think it was part of the August playlist though.

You can use a config. file to make a STAR?
It's an online tool that the STAR Team uses to configure the WeatherSTAR's Nationwide. It's not just any configuration tool, this software was built by The Weather Channels STAR Team and is only available to TWC's STAR Team.

have u seen the STAR dept?
Yes.
Cool, how does it look like?
It's more of a group of people than an actual department. Standard computers, running XP.. Using the Star Configuration and Managment Tool.

I seriously doubt the station would be interested in Samuel Lincoln/CC Gilmore music. :(
Wouldnt matter if they were interested in it, I buy it and send them the bill.. They dont even usualy check why, unless its a huge amount over like $1000.

Where exactly do you get the money to pay for the music?
Some would say I fell in to a pit of money, some would say I also have some government media grants.

I don't know for sure, but I believe the station he works for is footing at least a part of the bill.
Yeah, this is true. However if I get the station to pay for the music, I will use it at the station and then use it at home with this project. I wouldn't just get the station to pay for it and then never use it there. lol.

So if I were to ask for those songs listed on the other page, it would coast $2,700!
Pretty much. I think there is a price break but I have no clue where it is. lol.

Oddly enough my feed of Musak costs around that much for the whole year, including unlimited use.

Kyle, how much does it cost to license a song?
My last purchase was for $225.00 but it was during I think a "Holiday" sale. Usualy I think they are for about $300.00. For TV use.
