I've noticed on weather.com a meteorlogist by the name of Ed Libus. I'm not sure if I spelled his last name correctly, my apologies. Is he a new meteorologist, or has he been with twc for a while, or is he a free lance filling in? Take a look at today's storm watch video on weather.com.

I agree Eric. TWC recently adding the falling 3-D rain drops, snow flakes, and lightning bolts are over the top. They obscure some of the base precip layers to the point in the Western US that you cannot see the details.

I really like the way graphics are becoming more and more advanced now. It's hard to display weather stories sometimes and tools like these really do give your station an edge with all the new technology. I wonder what this means for TWC? They may already have Max 3.0 since WSI is a company of TWC.

They do have those lights on, just not in that color. I agree, that color really adds to the shot. They should turn them that color. The entire studio for that matter.

That looks really cool! I wish I had tuned in to see it. With this new wall they are starting to remind me of CNN a bit.

The National Weather service had trimmed back the Severe T-storm Watch out of SE GA but a few minutes ago SPC re-issued a Severe T-storm Watch until 2AM. The initial line earlier moved out and everything was clear all afternoon but a not too long before sunset cells began developing and propagating in GA towards the area. It's possible for my locale to see another line/MC Cluster(s) of storms push through before a chance of isolated storms tomorrow afternoon. A tornado warning has been issued on a cell in line to graze my area within a few hours if all holds up. Interesting day as we've had 3-5 Lines of storms in the past 24hours. The great thing is that we're slowly notching away at the drought here. Hopefully this spring will bring and end to it despite what outlooks foresee.

I don't have my weather station anymore, but obs in the area are reporting around 80°. Charleston is just within a few miles of a Tornado Warning. A Severe T-storm Watch has been issued until 9PM by the SPC. It's partly sunny here.
