The world isn't going to end, imo. I would just make an effort to not go out on Friday. Surely there will be some of those people who aren't right mentally or want to cause trouble in public. Then again, if it's like May 21st was, nothing will happen at all. :whistling:

Given that it's December, I'm quite shocked to see SC featured in a day 4-8 outlook. Very rarely do you get these, even during peak thunderstorm seasons.  Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee are in the other part of the outlook as well.

The whole 'con' part of these scales they make really just doesn't sound right to me. con? Really? I'd think they could find a better name than that.

I really wish Google would learn to leave things alone for a while. I'm not as upset about Youtube as I am about the latest version of Android. The previous version worked very well and experienced very little lag. Since they can't leave anything alone, of course they had to change that and the result is me now pretty much starting to dislike the OS. Google, what is your problem?

66° and Mostly Clear. Tomorrow morning expecting a think-blanket of fog and partly cloudy conditions onward from morning. Rain chances slowly increase through Wednesday, when we should get a healthy dosing of rain. I'm looking forward to it as the sunshine has had it's fair share, time to fill the rain gauge!

49.5°F Fog

Low to Mid 60's on Monday, even air temperatures over the ocean expected go above 60°F...is this December? :dunno:
We're going for highs in the mid 70's this week. This certainly is not December.  :pinch:

Youtube made it standard for everyone this afternoon/evening. I don't care for it as much.

This is the true spirit of Christmas... Being thankful for what you already have in your life. Back in October, my mother collapsed on the floor unable to get up. No amount of effort on mine or my dad's part could get my mom up and back in to her room. We called an ambulance, she was taken to the hospital. That night, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, with damage to her liver and spleen. The damage to her heart is unrepairable. She, unfortunately, is a smoker and has diabetes and neuropathy (damaged/dead nerves) thus is not capable of being a candidate for a new heart if this were to ever come to light. Over the course of the past few months, she has started to lose the ability to walk. She can sort of walk, but only with a walker and one of us (me or my dad) being with her incase she falls. I am truly thankful that I still have time with my mom, as we do not know how much longer we have with her. I, as well as her, are taking things one day at a time and we are working through our own rehabilitation to hopefully regain full control of her walking abilities.
Jesse, I'm very sorry to hear that about your mother. It's never easy when your loved ones take a turn like that (my grandmother did a few months back). I hope the months ahead are easier for you, as I'm sure they will be a bit tough. Best wishes.   :(

Bryan, either one are great brands (although I bet some here would disagree). I in my personal uses prefer Intel, mainly because I'm more familiar with their products. I also would caution you to stay away from anything lower than 2.8ghz (for dual core) or 2.4(for quad core) as they'll likely be slow to carry-out tasks. Also, when looking into hard drives, stay away from 5400rpm drives and go for the 7200rpm or SSD. As for graphics, try to find something higher than 512mb and non-integrated if you can. Some of these choices may help you pick a computer that will last a bit longer than if you choose the lower-spec models.

The one you linked to looks okay. On that model, my only advice would be to upgrade the graphics card to one of the higher options (if you like to game or design and such). I'd say go for the 1GB card, just to be safe.
