This might seem like a dumb question. How are the graphics advanced when the met doesn't have a remote in their hand? Weather producer?

Here's my revamped "Customize Your Icons" Page from almost 2 years ago. It's all done on PowerPoint.
DISCLAIMER: All known materials are property of The Weather Channel and TWC Interactive. The first 3 versions of the "Partly Cloudy" icon are property of TWC Classics and their creators Charles Abel and Nick Smith. The 8th one is courtesy of Wojciech Grzanka for NBC's Local sites. The 9th one is created by Raymie Humbert. The 10th one is courtesy of Stardock (see link).
WMC is NBCReally? I've seen this graphic style around Google searching for some inspiration to make. I guess someone made it and different stations buy it? Still a nice graphics style in my opinion.
As much as you want the animated icons, I want the Vizrt weather software at no cost..I second you on wanting VIZRT. I love the art that can be made with it, it has and whole suite of software kinda like adobe.
Also, what do you mean by 'current icons'? The 'current icons' are the '2010 style'...
WMC-TV Memphis also uses them. There TITAN.WCSC uses Tru Vu Max now. They've used this theme for 3-5years now. Many tv stations owned by CBS use it.
She looks tanner to me. I don't see as much wrinkles on her face now as I did at TWC.I think its how CNN does their lightingYeah, she looks really pale. I think maybe that's it. We were used to her being pretty tan and she looks a lot more pale in that video.
So...the U.S. has just had this tremendous tornado outbreak that has claimed the lives of almost 300 and counting. And the extents of the damage are still unknown. They did live reports that early this morning.
Now my question is...Will Al and TWC still be covering the non-weather related, royal wedding tomorrow on WUWA? My fear is a yes because tomorrow will be a relatively quiet day weather-wise, and no live reports can be done that early in the morning.
You also have to account for that very many people don't have basements here. Although they may have had the warning, they just might not have been in a strong enough building. Its terrible.Unless they had a weather radio or someone called them early enough they may have not known what was coming for them.
Is there ever an excuse for not owning a weather radio, especially in tornado-prone areas?
No, but that doesn't mean there aren't people who don't own them.
You're right, my bad.The common person probably thinks that they are invincible to weather and get in their minds "that will never happen to me". Populations were probably less back then, and less building and debris to be picked up. Ignorance is one of the main causes of weather related death in my opinion.
Speaking of which, mini-rant. WHY is it that we have such better technology to detect tornadoes than we did in 1974 during the Super Outbreak, when 300-odd some people died, and yet we are on track of beating that record today? Why did so many people die now?
You're doing great! I couldn't be able to create the artwork like yours using Powerpoint or other designing software. Are you considering working for TWC as a graphics artist? They'll hire you!I could only hope. I've been interested in meteorology for a while, graphics just goes alone with it. I wouldn't mind being a graphic artist or weather producer.
