Now with dwm on my old box:

X currently runs at 1024*768 because I had to revert to the vesa driver, due to the nv driver having a problem with window borders. I could not get nouveau to work.

It seems that I may be in the minority now of still using Firefox.  Chrome is indeed fast when I tried it for a test run, but I saw some bugs and a few web pages that didn't work, which really concerned me.  Furthermore, security is something I'm a little weary about when using something from Google as I do online banking and other private things.  I'd like to see Chrome step that up before I would completely trust it over Firefox.  It's just my opinion.
I am in the same minority. I still use Firefox, albeit in the form of GNU IceCat. Firefox appears to be the least bad of the major Web browsers.

I just went through the worst power outage since 2008 for me. According to my UPS (uninterruptible power supply), it lasted about 52 minutes, and yes that is quite long for me because my power is delivered via ungerground wiring. :noexpression:
I believe my worst power cut was from 10–12 December 2007, due to an ice storm. I believe the power cut started at Monday, 2007-12-10T04:51-0600 (or so I remember the clock displaying when it happened), and ended sometime on Wednesday.

This is not that good, but roughly an hour in The GIMP produced this:

I wonder if Mibbit + a public BitlBee server would be an acceptable replacement...

Anyway, I have not used Meebo regularly since 2009. I used to use Pidgin (and later Finch, the text-terminal version of Pidgin), but now I use BitlBee with irssi.

Hey, does anyone know of a good, online Youtube downloader I could use? Mediaconverter and a few other sites no longer work with YT. I'm trying to save a few clips on my account that I no longer have on my computer so any help would be appreciated. :)

I prefer youtube-dl.

I still use Firefox, because it appears to be the least bad graphical browser of those I have tried, though I use it with the Pentadactyl extension, which makes it behave similar to the text editor Vim. It is also one of the few GUI applications I still use, The GIMP, MPlayer (when playing a video), and feh (image viewer) being some of the others.

I would use a text browser such as ELinks or w3m regularly, but many Web sites are text browser–hostile. >_<
