Coverage ended at 5 PM. Maybe they went to the dual feed for the area? I was hoping they would go until the warning expired.  :cry3: Well At lease they actually preempted for one little warning. Haven't seen that in a while. Either way good job TWC

Has anyone noticed they stopped doing Live Weather Updates on the Weekends during Long Form? Now it's Local on the 8s. Last Time I checked a week or two ago it was usually Kyla or Keith giving a 30 second update.

Explosions in the Sky - "Your Hand in Mine" in a Liberty Mutual olympics commercial.
Liberty Mutual Insurance Commercial: Missteps :60 - RISE

I also heard "Rock Steady" by the Whispers at a restaurant, and production music used during Your Weather Today from 2008-2010 on a local EverDry commercial.

I also heard Explosions in The Sky on the CW back in January. It was during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Woah woah woah, since when was 21865's CC city changed to Mount Holly?! I know for a fact that's served my my STAR 21872... 21865 serves the river side communities between Delran and Bordentown. I know before the WATT relaunch the city was Burlington, which was far more appropriate.

Also, I noticed some of my radar cities were altered today.  Anyone else encountered any changes to theirs?
I know. That sucked because I could get conditions for Bordentown on the bottom of the screen.  Now it says Cinnaminson and Joint Base MDL? What's the purpose. I also notice that a lot of commercials are being overlaid on top of WATT.
Also on 11/12/13 it went from Burlington to Mt. Holly with the LDL cities still normal but after about a month or so it changed to MOUNT HOLLY and it looks like that 21872 now serves Bordentown. It also did from to my knowledge 2006-2008.

Watching Raging Nature and the promo on the upper left said, special coverage winter weather, stay tuned in? Maybe dual feed? Maybe they'll preempt? If anyone is seeing special coverage around 10:00 - 10:30 PM on 2/18/14 then this proves they are using it. Although I don't know if they use it or has since the November Relaunch?

Hmm... It looks likes Kim and Paul are in the satellite center for WCL. Must be maintenance in the studio. By the way it's been a little over a month and TWC is live from 4a - 8p straight through. Still the guide hasn't been updated.

Im probably going out on  limb here but could this be in preperation for extended locals? I say that because I dont think they created extra maps on the updated graphics. Just a thought. Maybe they thought there graphics stink and are reverting.   :o

That's so weird. Never seen a unit like that before? Maybe they'll replace all units with that. The graphics are better.

There's a Twitter account for the music now.

https://twitter.com/wxchannelmusic
This looks like a fanpage, not an official one. BTW, has anyone heard any instrumentals ?
I think its a real page because they identified the 2 lot8s production music. And the only instrumentals so far are the 2 production songs.    wish ryan farish would play. He has a new album.

I preferred hearing the same two (or three) songs on the local forecasts instead of the vocal music.  I'm simply not a fan of the current popular styles, and hearing the song's lyrics competing with the forecast being read is very annoying.  To me, it's just another attempt by The Weather Channel to attract audiences by pretending to be a top 40 radio station.  And just think of the money they could save if they weren't paying those royalties...!
Actually the music played is not the top 40. There playing Adult Alternative. Plus out of the past 2 years I have only heard about 1-2 twc vocal songs on the hit radio station. Since I'm in High School I know no one really knows these twc vocal artists. Maybe one here and there. Trust me if twc played top 40 vocal songs so many people would be angry cause of all the trash in the music. Twc would need to be updated to a TV-MA channel. Although we all miss the Jazz days, we got weather nation. Jazz music 24/7. Hopefully comcast will pick it up. Think of it now as 2 weather channels, choose your music preference. Plus Roku carries weather nation. Although advertisments interrupt your forecast every 10 min or so.

Hey, at least we have a storm alert theme. So probably on tuesday thru wednesday the vocals will be cut. So now whenever there is a winter storm, severe weather outbreak, or hurricane we will get production music. Compared to last year vocals played during everything but a hurricane.

So far the songs I can identify are:
Mountain Sound - of Monsters and Men
Prayin' for daylight - Rascal Flatts
Called out in the Dark - Snow Patrol
Fire and Rain - Mat Kearney
Tonights the night - Outasight
Golden State - Joywave
and the 2 production songs

If anyone else can identify more just post

You know I haven't heard a ryan farish song yet? Only instrumentals are the 2 production songs. Hopefully there just placeholders until Monday? Also it's kinda hard to tell if there are dayparts. Hopefully we will get the instrumental songs like May 2013. That was my favorite playlist out of all the vocal playlists. Primetime and Overnight was the best.

You know I've never thought I would say this but THANK GOD!! I hated those 2 production songs

Prayin' for daylight - Rascal Flatts 8:18 PM

Fire and Rain - Matt Kearney at 8:48 PM. Looks like the same 2013 type songs are playing.  <_< Get ready for lady GaGa.  :hammer:
Has anyone heard an instrumental yet?
