TWC Today News / Re: Martin's passing and the future of TWC Today
« on: November 02, 2015, 10:10:15 PM »
Although I don't know Martin much, it's very sad to see someone this young go. However he did help me with my TruVu Max questions which without him I would never be able to find how EXPENSIVE  the system is. I really hope the forum survives because this is my only go to source for updates on TWC and insider information.

My TV Guide shows that TWC Weekend live programming may be extended to 2PM ET staring Saturday 10/31. I hope this is true.

DirecTV doesn't show that but, starting on 11/2 the schedule is as follows

12:00 AM - 1:00 AM    3 Scientists walk into a bar
1:00 AM - 2:00 AM      Strangest Weather on Earth
2:00 AM - 3:00 AM      Strangest Weather on Earth
3:00 AM - 4:00 AM      3 Scientists walk into a bar

4:00 AM - 6:00 AM      Weather Center Live
6:00 AM - 9:00 AM      AMHQ
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM    Weather Center Live
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM     Weather Center Live
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM       Weather Center Live
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM       Weather Underground

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM       Why Planes Crash
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM       Why Planes Crash
9:00 PM - 10:00 PM     Natural Born Monsters

10:00 PM - 11:00 PM    ---UNAVAILABLE---
11:00 PM - 12:00 AM   Natural Born Monsters

I don't think this is the final schedule as some slots are incomplete or mixed up. I also noticed all shows pushed back 1 hour. Maybe it's an error or intentional?

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion
« on: October 13, 2015, 06:42:54 PM »
According to http://www.weather.com/tv/the-weather-channel-live/news/tv-schedule WUTV is only airing from 6-7 PM on Friday even though my DTV guide says 6-8 PM on Friday? Could this be a new schedule starting or just one of those company meetings or a typo? Just something I found interesting.

You don't have TWC, yet you have DTV & WN?????? Isn't TWC a basic channel on DTV? I believe it is on DISH. WN might be on a higher package on DISH.

As of April 2014 TWC was moved to the Choice package and WN is now the "basic" weather channel on DTV. Probably due to higher re-transmission fees. I have the select package which saves us 10-15 bucks a month. Since at the time we ordered DTV, TWC was in the crap-hole (and still is until they make that schedule change) so why waste that extra money if TWC is gonna show fat guys or why "Hurricane Sandy may of come from weather aliens who Creek Stewart will show you how to save your a$$ by screaming Sasquatch sounds and asking the Prospectors the value of 14kt gold which can kill the El Nino reptilians with its super luxurious gold laser which the 3 scientists in the bar will show you how that's at all possible even though gold is solid matter".

I think this is one of the new maps!

Finally!! TWC looks x10 better than before the update. Too bad I don't have TWC but if keep their promise I'll upgrade my TV package. WeatherNation is nice to have on at night with calm meteorologists and elevator music   :bleh:

I found Trouble Shooters and Work Ethics on KillerTracks.

Also the track Syncopate from KillerTracks sounds familiar.

Under The Edge from KillerTracks was heard from Day Planner

Alright. For a second there I thought they were pulling their little stunts again.  <_<

The Weather Channel to Premiere New Series NATURAL BORN MONSTERS, 9/21

Quote
From land prowling fish to giant predatory reptiles and more... adventurer and EXPLORER Sean Duggan treks to the most remote stretches of the globe in search of mysterious creatures that have adapted to extreme weather and environments in new series, "Natural Born Monsters." In each episode, Duggan makes it his mission to unearth these fascinating creatures and investigate how weather came to shape both the wild claims around their existence and the wild beasts themselves.

I thought we stopped green-lighting these shows

But if he's at all serious about this that would be awesome!! Jazz has been gone so long for me I forget the excitement that I had with the channel. I remember back in 7th grade I would constantly check weather.com/music for the new playlist. But since about 2013 I migrated away from jazz and with the vocals on TWC and going to a new high school everything I listen to mostly is adult alternative with the only instrumentals being Ryan Farish (hence explains the vocal test playlists I put out and my spotify playlists being pretty much all vocals since early 2014).

And I feel this is really disappointing that something great and something that made my childhood years fun had to end!  :furious:  :censored: Now with the vocals hitting at a time where High School was just starting and the stress associated with it and the stupidity of immature kids and drama, God talk about a bad time to take away something I could have used to level it out.

I'm also angry because if TWC goes back to jazz, I will be really excited but those songs that they played years ago don't sound that great anymore  :cry3:  I would have to regain interest but I think that's the right way to go but overall I'm upset that I reached a point where I really could care less. Maybe 2015 will be the lucky year.

Also I am still surprised that I didn't know Jazz was gone until May 2012! I watched TWC almost daily during that time?

Don't know if anyone saw this but here's the discussion on whether smooth jazz returns to the locals with @daveclark

@wxdam But the important question in all of this, @daveclark, is whether or not we'll ever get our smooth jazz back on Local on the 8s?

Quote
@daveclark And if I don't hold back the smooth jazz, you might literally end up with nothing to complain about.  So.....  :)

@daveclark Maybe. A lot (!) wrong in your story. But this true: our strategy of focusing again on wx fans has worked and we are doubling down.

Don't know how to interpret this? :dunno:

Maybe they'll return "Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes"?   :thrilled:

This looks like we are going backwards now which is good. Maybe Morning Rush will come back? I miss Morning Rush. Maybe Mike and Stephanie will host the 7-10am hour? As TWCJim said Although maybe(not) they'll extend locals to 90 seconds or 2 minutes? At least in the mornings? We'll see.........
Also they better go back to the old look style of graphics soon.

Can anyone identify this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmrZnEYVLkY
Try going to killertracks.com and hover over music for and click News, then on the left side you can narrow it down by sound or event. I recommend Current Events as I found most of the music under that category. Also try VideoHelper.com and check albums VH020 to VH041. You can use the search bar and type in the albums. Also if you find a song and find another song with the same title but with Background or Alternate after it, those are the same songs but slightly different so don't waste your time looking at those. You find that in some albums so don't be alarmed if you find 150 songs in one album.
