Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Apparently TWC is using Celsius for now on? Can someone verify this as I have no access to TWC today.

Yeah, deep down I have a grudge for that, but its still the weather channel. They're the reason I really watch tv anymore.
I miss the old version of the IntelliStar that lasted 2007-2013 also. Some lasted 1 minute, some 1:30 and some 2 minutes but not anymore. :( Also, an OCM isn't supposed to be the narrator for the local forecast.
Agree 100%. TWC just doesn't feel serious anymore with their childish graphics and icons that look like they were drawn by a kindergartner. We're going on 3 years with these graphics and they needed to go not even 3 hours after they debuted. Plus the only terrain maps they show are only radar and some forecast maps. The majority of maps are still flat white. I also don't like the L-Bar format, it may provide more information but I prefer having a full 1920x1080 picture with an LDL overlaying. I'm pretty sure it's getting to a time where the graphics team is preparing newer graphics.

According to @Twcenter1
"@MatthewYatzun5 @weatherx17 by 2017 we plan to be 24/7 so yes an 8-10p show will air."
Maybe by 2017 new graphics will air?

Well I hope this time it stays on. I want them to regain the music audience they once had. I don't see why they would be so against that. I just listened to an interview with Brian Picard and Ryan Farish and at the time they were ecstatic about the music brand they had. Why can't TWC be about weather and have a music audience? I don't like how we're being teased and @daveclark still seems reluctant about the jazz format. Can't he just hand it off to certain producers, like @WeatherScottT. Frustrating! :nono: I know constantly complaining is not going to help, just need to get this off my back.

Well I'm viewing it with a more positive outlook. Its been nearly 3 years since their last graphical update or tweaking. The weather channel announced in September that they are going back to a weather focused agenda. TWC recently added back the air quality forecast and pollen report to the ldl, in January. Something that has been gone for nearly 3 years.  They tested their old music again, sadly for a day, for the first time in 4 years. They seem to be very quiet, on whatever it is that they're doing, other than letting their shows finish their runs, and changing the focus back to weather. I'm looking at it like this, maybe something bigger is going to happen. Maybe they'll make a real change that we can all favor upon. Go ahead and bring on your negative feedback to this but I'm just going to remain hopeful until the day something happens.
I wasn't trying to be negative, just a little impatient because I missed this music and never thought it would come back. Plus I never knew TWC played jazz on Friday until the day after, so I missed that. I will be more patient and wait till April and hopefully they have new songs and not just ones from the smooth jazz album. But that's better than the production one's playing now.

It's been over a week, and still no jazz music yet.  :furious:
I'm probably just impatient but I've been waiting for this since 2012! January 11, 2012 was the last day a jazz song played on lo8s with the exception of March 11, 2016. I have tweeted the producers multiple times and no one wants to speak! They probably deleted all their past songs because they were probably under the impression that they'll never play it again and are now re investing in new music. Which is probably why they tested it. To see if it's a worthy investment. Well a lot took notice. I hope it airs tomorrow but I've been eagerly waiting since last Saturday and the lack of info is driving me crazy!

FINALLY!!!!!   Hopefully they bring the monthly or bi-monthly playlists back. Also instrumentals along with the jazz. I asked @daveclark on twitter when the jazz will resume but no response.  :hammer:

Pretty much all vocals. Only a couple of instrumentals. Weird that they didn't do this in 2012?  :dunno:

Vocal Music!  Wow that was the longest vocal hiatus in TWC History! Actually no, 1983-2012 was the longest. Hmm let's see if this rolls over into next month? Really could care less but that would kind of be exciting to see

Not sure if anyone caught this... but at 12:17PT/3:17ET on December 4th, there was an interesting commercial that aired before the LF... it was the original WUWA commercial from back in the day, then at the end it said "Wake up with Al is brought to you by (some) law office"... anyone else catch that or was it just me? Wish I recorded that. Really bizarre.
Which one? The promo before the show aired or the 2009 ads? It's funny that you caught that. Wish I could've saw that. I've been watching some funny WUWA moments and songs from back in the day recently. Brings back a lot of memories from summer 2009 which was my most favorite summer.

I STILL CAN'T GET THIS SONG OUTTA MY HEAD :( #ForeverUnknown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFATU1Q_aqo

@localonthe8s, after days of research the only results I can get is that your "Unknown Song" is published by SuperMax Music. The only issue is finding them seems next to impossible. It's like they never existed?
I've searched KillerTracks, DeWolfe, VideoHelper, APM, FirstCom, WarnerChappellPM, ImagemPM, Extreme Music, Atomica, Epitome Music .etc. No where to be found. Not Arwed Hauf or Naftalia Tantular, or Outer Self or Everybody Dance! It's like it never existed!  :furious: Unless someone can contact TWC or BMI it may forever remain a mystery.  :club:

EDIT: Just to let you know Rainy Day by CC Gilmore also comes from SuperMax. So maybe someone here has a lead who is a CC Gilmore fan? What libraries he could come from?
