For those that didn't hear, Mattoon's WeatherSTAR XL crashed late Wednesday night (3/16) and was replaced by a WS 4000 unit Thursday Morning. The Area Director of Mediacom made it sound like the 4000 is temporary until they get a replacement unit to replace the XL. We will see..
Until then, enjoy some Weatherstar 4000 clips..

This is when the unit was first initialized and did not have all of the correct info and maps.

There has been no local forecasts, not even a picture, just a black screen since yesterday evening on Star #3465 for Mattoon (Mediacom is the provider)

I just seen the XL use an unusual 1 minute flavor. I dont think I have seen it before.
The flavor was: Current Conditions > Daypart Forecast > Extended Forecast > Radar.

During a commercial at 12:16AM CDT on 6/29, my XL's Black Bar LDL made a 3 second appearance.  This is not a joke, and I wasn't seeing things. It was a very exciting 3 seconds! lol. I wish I had been recording it.
