Severe Weather / Re: Severe Weather Season 2012
« on: June 30, 2012, 08:06:16 AM »
The airport at Roanoke, VA measured a wind gust of 81 mph from this derecho.  There are numerous trees down, power lines down, trees on top of mobile homes and vehicles, structures caught on fire due to hanging power lines, and so much more that I can't remember all the calls I received.  I'm stunned that my apartment didn't lose power and that my vehicle was unharmed.  The Blacksburg NWS was forced to use generator power for the radar and the office during this event to keep everything running.  My sounding from this evening had over 3,300 J/kg of CAPE (tons of instability due to the record heat today) and over 1,900 J/kg of DCAPE (energy for downdrafts, hence the very strong winds we experienced).  I sure hope everyone is okay.
Hope y'all's ok. That thing was a beast.........

General Discussion / Re: Kevin Martin vs. NOAA/NWS

BUMP

I just got this from his Facebook page. He's running this thing now called the "Tornado Risk Analysis Model". I ain't seen this much BS in terms of weather since the time the NWS employee at Morristown, TN issued one warning covering 30 counties......

I get the feeling this ain't over yet......

New Rules:
NOAA is NOT allowed to be mentioned on this site. They are blacklisted from TWS ... forever. Not even authors or myself will be allowed to talk about "them" anymore ...

I've been battling these yahoos for years and they've tried to "Assume" authority of me, which is ended up in them thinking they can take it one step further in releasing "public statements" about me ... I will not have it and I will be making sure they pay for the damages to me ... both business and personal ...

Because of them ... My marriage has been rocky ... Because of them my site has been rocky ... Because of them I have heart and stress problems ... that of which I likely have bronchitis with my high temp and deep gold stuff coming from my lungs this week and can't even pay for medical help anymore.

For the stuff this site puts out, WxChannel shouldn't have 1.0 Million people while TWS has near 9,000 ... When TWS has portrayed to be accurate ... Put of the reason we haven't made it there is because of the public statement from NOAA< blacklisting TWS from media and emergency managers ...

But that is the rule ... NO MORE NOAA ... I do not want to hear they even exist from authors, myself, or viewers. TWS is independent and should we receive the major damages we are claiming from NOAA, the large amount of money will be used to expand this Website like never before ...

Put into perspective ... TWS was making $10000+ a month from ads and clients (consulting) ... ever since the public statement from them about me and TWS we've knocked it down to 100-300 and all authors are here to continue to help the site so one day they can get paid more to write what they do.

NOAA will pay for the incompetence and I wish to continue everyone standing with me to make sure they know they are wrong.

Another Note: TheWeatherSpace.com VIP will no longer exist. ALL ARTICLES will be posted on The Weather Space main page. We need maximum views and maximum coverage and we will no longer write just articles for "large things" ... we will get continued space, geological, and weather stuff out to build this facebook page to be a very large one and show NOAA the public (we) won't take their "authority" in trying to take down private weather sites ...

This is the only message I can give today ... I am very sick and cannot get the help I need right now for it and I will be lying down. Anyone who read this take a good feel and understand what these yahoos at NOAA have done to me and this site for quite sometime, escalating last year. The stress alone is nearly killing me but I am continuing TWS under what very little it makes anymore because for the few that are helped it should be worth it ... Good day ...

Jon.

Tavores??

There's currently 2 that serve Massachusetts, Blue Hill and Taunton.

Blue Hill I dont think had any forecast responsibilities

Blue Hill used to but not anymore most of the forecasts come from Taunton.

Was Blue Hill the one that operated the Worcester radar, issued warnings for Worcester, or was Blue Hill and Worcester two separate offices??
