I've always had the "If it burns, it's working" mentality towards Listerine.

Except when you're urinating. :P

LOL!

General Discussion / Re: Gas prices in your area
« on: March 24, 2009, 06:44:40 PM »
30 cents is almost unreal! Gas in my area is about 1.85. I never thought I would see the one decimal signs ever again but they're back! Since the demand for gas is lower the prices are lower, which doesn;t bother em a bit.  :)

And also to rinse as well, meaning...Listerine?
Listerine has alcohol in it, which causes the burn :( But <3 Listerine Citrus
I've always had the "If it burns, it's working" mentality towards Listerine.

Never tried the Citrus kind....my older sister tried it but she didn't like it. She always tells me to cringe so much in order to not get the burn.   :doh2:

I always rinse with Listerine now. After a while you begin to get used to the burn.

Not necessarily.
Yes, it can. If food stays on or in between your teeth, it will turn to plaque. Plaque can lead to cavities, or even gingivitis.

Well I guess I'm pretty fortunate teeth wise then. I eat candy and I have yet to get a cavity. Just don't forget to floss!  :P

General Discussion / Re: Commercials You Loathe

I loathe the Nutrisystem commercials. I know people that tried it and it's SO much more complicated than they say. I also don't like the Billy Mays commercials. He screams in your face practically.

Icons cause so many psychological problems.  :P I like then XL ones better because I can see the rain better, but over time I got used to it. Seeing old XL videos on Youtube might bring back those good memories, Aaron. Plus, Martin and Brian have been both posting XL footage to Youtube, and that brought back some good XL memories back to me.

Why? I thought they were unnecessary, but I kind of liked them. Except for Windy. That sound effect is obnoxious, haha.

I miss the old icons, too. But, you have to keep in mind that they couldn't keep them forever because the look would go stale. Eight years was a long time. I do like the early IS, but as long as the STAR I have can give me weather information and data, that's all I care about.

but hopefully one day, TWC will let her speak on air sometime in the future about what happened and everything

As sad as it is, I highly doubt that will happen.

I agree. That was a very traumatizing accident that happened to her. If she's too skittish to go to malls with her daughter, I highly doubt she'd go on camera in front of millions of people. That's a very sad story.

The WeatherSTAR 4000 in Fort Polk, Louisiana is a WeatherSTAR XL now, and there is a WeatherSTAR4000 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. However, it may be an XL or Istar now; I'm not sure atm. Sorry I don't have 'proof' but the next time I visit I'll record some LFs.
