Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: Harmful Website Warning

Yay, that's great! No more warnings from my version of Firefox either. Glad this site didn't have any serious issues because it didn't appear to be a false alarm.

I was wondering what was going on because Firefox was practically imploring me to stay away from here. I hope the issue gets resolved soon, too.

No telling. As Tavores said, TWC has their own music--the Beach Street music, to be exact. Alex's source must have either been mistaken or TWC changed their mind soon after. In fact, I don't think I've heard a single instrumental since TWC switched back. Like the rest of you, I'd like to see them make up their mind and stick with it.

Vocals are back.

I'll be pretty happy if the vocals are gone. I know I've said this before, but there is no point in changing music styles in times of disaster and higher ratings. Keep the music consistently pleasant and professional without excessive tacky weather lyrics. It just makes sense, and this would be the first positive change in a long while.

Was just about to say the same thing. Recently heard "Falling Star" by Ryan Farish, which was a Feb/March song. I support the temporary adjustment, but I still don't like how the switch is TWC's backhand way of admitting that their other music is tacky and not well-suited all the time.

How would this Background look on the IntelliStar? i saw this during the Today Show.

That looks like the XL v.2 background. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it is.

Local Forecast / Re: May 2013 Playlist

I haz a feeling this is another "best of" playlist before changes are made to LOT8s, similar to what happened in 2009 and 2011. So I would enjoy this while it lasts...

What makes you say so? Last I heard I thought TWC was behind in their local forecast updates.

I like a lot of the songs they chose this month, even if they're repeats from 2009.

Well, today is my 22nd birthday, and I honestly can't believe how quickly time flies these days. I get slightly more depressed each year because I really don't want to hit that day when "it's all downhill from here"--from a physical appearance standpoint. However, I was fortunate to get a nice amount of gas money from my mom.  I don't get the countless amount of gifts anymore, but I don't expect or need as much now to know that my friends and family care about me.

During the past few years I've been here, it's been incredible how much the LOT8's has changed. I remember in 2009 people were still complaining about the IS icons and wanted the XL ones back. Then people didn't like how many of the LOT8's songs were repeats in the years 2010-2011. 2012 was the big permanent music shift--or debacle, for some-- from jazz to vocals, and 2013 has just been a serious diminishing of the LOT8's importance. I was one of the people to complain about the music, too, but it's amazing how many of us took the LOT8's for granted the past few years, complaining about things such as icons and music repeats. None of those things, though, compare to the phasing out of the LOT8's. I didn't think it'd happen this quickly, but time does inevitably lead to change, and TWC is living up to that principle. I wish the network the best, but I don't see it surviving on major TV networks much longer with all the negative changes I'm observing. If TWC doesn't keep the LOT8's, it won't be keeping my attention or viewership, as I mainly watch for my local weather anyhow unless there is some serious weather news around the country.

Localonthe8s, is that a 30-second LF you've got there?  I certainly hope it's not coming to that, but we've gone from 2 minutes to 60 seconds, so this is the next likely step.
Yes, that's a new overnight flavor

I thought the 30-second flavor was just a sarcastic video. If that's true, then TWC is making the LF as short as its ever been. It's sad. This will probably be the last stretch of TWC in my life.

That's a shame. I'm just guessing that this is a transition to an end to the LOT8's as we know it. They only get shorter, which often foreshadows change.

I had a feeling this would happen eventually-- as of this morning all of the LFs during DP are now 60-seconds in length, joining WCL and all of the weekday morning shows

I'm still grateful that Weekend View has K Flavors.

I now think there are no more K flavors. So now all LF's are 60 seconds, except for that one after Weather Classroom.

I'm a big beach bum, and I think the map looks cool with a lot of water on it. It's more colorful than just green-brown. Also, Tampa is a coastal city, you know.  :P Most maps are centered on the area it focuses on, and I think that's why it's so centered on Tampa, even if it includes the ocean.
