Wow, that's a lot for a storm that didn't even have a direct impact on the United States. I know they're hoping for some more storms that they could cover, given that the forecast calls for an above-average season. I hope they can get a chance to do that, but at the same time I definitely don't want people's property or lives to be lost for a good story. However, there's still time left this hurricane season, and there's no telling whether or not the "big one" could still happen.

Wow, that is awesome, Mike! You can use that opportunity to have some down time, which is just so good to have. Boy, I was so stressed with the work I had to do my senior year.

I'm glad you're enjoying college, Martin. What do you like the most about it so far? I've had some personal issues that brought my mood down for much of my freshman year of college, but I think this year will be better for me.

The IS 2 looks great! It's out where I live now, and I think Jim's narrations are really good. At first I thought it was a little strange, but they are definitely sick (meaning totally awesome). I love those "old" icons too.

I know I'm not the only one that sees an HD STAR in a place other than Nashville, right?

Haha, actually 95° with a heat index of 93° might feel pretty comfortable. I think the high in NOLA today was 88° with a heat index in the triple digits. I don't care what the calender says, summer is still here where I live. What I wouldn't do for some cooler weather...

I really might consider buying an iPad then. It might be a tough transition though, as I'm not totally used to touch screens and stuff. I'll probably ask some folks over at Best Buy and see what they think. The downloadable book stuff would be very cool.

I need a new laptop too. The one I have now is as slow as they come. I was considering maybe getting an iPad, but they might not be the best thing to get for school related stuff. And I just realized that The Pot Belly Stove will be coming back before we know it. I love that name because it somehow reminds me of being by a fire pit in the middle of January roasting marshmallows. I love winter in the south.

Oh, so the music change isn't permanent? I don't know how y'all find out this stuff. I don't mind the vocal music that much, but I don't see why they play it; it's sort of random.

I don't think I'll believe Storm Alert is gone until a storm like Katrina, Rita, or Ike threatens the United States and TWC still doesn't play the music and go into the mode. There was no reason to go into Storm Alert last year because no storm posed a major threat on anybody. Same so far for this year. If Earl kept its strong characteristics and was going straight to New York as a major hurricane, they would've done something special. Since it was weakening pretty rapidly and it was looking like it was going to brush New England, I didn't see a need for it either. As they said, nor'easters and blizzards bring more wind than Earl did.

It appears that vocal music isn't being played on WUWA anymore. I like that change a lot, as it gives us an extra hour of the morning playlist. Even though I don't particulary love the morning playlist, it's so much better than "Billie Jean" in the morning.

Summer doesn't seem like the time of year when you'd get sick, but that's actually when I get sick the most often. I always seem to have the misfortune of being around sick people by the time classes roll around again. Being sick in the heat is no fun.

Now I know I've been gone for a long time. You're really turning 16 already, Zach? I thought you were only 13.  Not that you act like you are, but time sure flies by so fast.

Right now, I drive one of those new 2011 Hyundai Sonatas. All I wanted for my birthday was a new car, since my really old one got beat up after my accident.

Is Wake Up With Al really their highest rated show? That surprises me. Either people love Al Roker or they can't stand him. I, for one, love waking up with Al. I've always liked his sense of humor and such.

For anyone that watches WUWA and TWT, do any of you know why the CNBC news and business reporters, like Contessa Brewer and Courtney Reagan, are live on WUWA but not on YWT? Also, on YWT, I really don't like how they get a few-second video of the news anchor just sitting there while Mike and Stephanie pretend the anchors are actually there live; it's so obvious they aren't. I was just wondering if anybody else besides me notices that too.

Hey, that is a pretty good thought. I don't think they would re-run an episode, though, because the news headlines wouldn't be the "latest" and the weather wouldn't be current. I fully support the best clips of the funniest things that were said/happened, however.

Aw, I was actually warming up to Kelly and Maria working together. I guess I shouldn't judge that without seeing how Crystal does, but I'm just getting pretty sick of all these changes.

Haha, I know. It's an XL nonetheless, so I was just being sarcastic. I didn't want you to think I was a noob or something.  B)
