Here's the mess I'm forced to look at everyday:

Here's a pic of what my Marine Forecast looks like:

If there's a new beach screen besides that, I would like to see it too.

Thank you! Yep. This is the one that worked and that was able to boot up the last LF it had. It's a v.3 from Warren, PA (at least that's what it says on the unit). I hope it was powered off before it was unplugged, because that's a big warning in the manual.  I'm going to educate myself on it big time before I do anything with it.

I definitely have the overbite then. Under bite was what one of my friends had really bad, but I still don't think it's worth corrective surgery unless it's grotesquely bad.

On another note, my XL came in the mail today.  I also just posted some pics of my room for the heck of it, hehe. Once I recover more from my wisdom tooth extractions, I'll be excited to piddle around with it some. I may be an idiot for buying one, and it may take my whole life to figure it out if ever, but I have always been a big fan of the XL, and I'm really glad I get to possess a piece of TWC history that displayed the local forecast to thousands of people in Pennsylvania. I guess you can say I'm very sentimental.

Wisdom teeth surgery isn't bad; I know because I just got it. Braces will be more annoying, but they are totally worth it.

I am developing an under bite again, but my teeth still look pretty straight. What's the big deal with an under bite anyway? As long as it's not horrid, I don't why it's that bad. Wait, or is that overbite? Ugh. I have the one that means your top teeth are farther forward than your bottom teeth.

Aw, why not? Aren't the first and last days usually the best? Well, I guess not at my school, as they had finals on the last day. I like saying be to everyone, though.

You mean the Marine Forecast? Or is there something else that I'm not aware of? I get the Marine Forecast where I am, so if there's something that involves the coast, I may be able to get it.

For me it's not really the lack of sunlight, but the lack of warmth. Cold is just so uncomfortable, and even in south Louisiana it just seems to last for so long. I like a gray, cloudy Christmas. After that, though, I am ready to kiss winter goodbye. January and February are awful for me. I will take your advice, Patrick, and try to take up some special hobbies during that time of year.

Even though it's almost the first day of summer, I always get a little bit sad that the sun will be getting lower in the sky and that the days will be getting shorter from here till late December. I'm definitely a summer person, and I love the long days. Spring and summer are just so lively while fall and winter are symbols of death and sleep. Maybe I have Seasonal Affective Disorder...

It looks very impressive on satellite. It looked so healthy that I almost thought it was a strong tropical storm this morning when I saw the Tropical Update.

We sure did! It was fun. :)

Why does the sky have acne at night?

In your dreams.  B)

Do I have to stop the car, or are you going to behave now?

Ha-ha, it's really nothing to fret about. If your dentist didn't mention, it then you're probably fine. If you can handle laser eye surgery, getting wisdom teeth removed probably isn't any worse.

Congrats, Mike!  B) Good luck in the--I think better--world of college. So many more things to do, people to meet, and opportunities to seize.

General Weather Chat / Re: La Nina Bows Out
« on: June 18, 2011, 03:40:43 PM »
We hardly got any rain this spring, which was definitely a huge disaster for the flowering plants, the grass, and the farmers who don't normally have to worry about the onslaught of droughts. All I remember from El Niņo in 2009 was the many gray, cold, rainy winter days. This winter was a lot more cheerful, but we're paying for it now. The meteorologists on WAFB said this was the driest March to June in over 120 years, and one of the warmest in 80 years. This must have been one heck of a La Niņa then. Hopefully we can stay in a neutral weather pattern for a while. It just seems like we're always on one extreme of El Niņo or the other extreme of La Niņa.
