So what advantages do you think the XL and IS bring that are absent in the 4000? Personally, I see none. They just look more up-to-date.

I think it has a lot to do with what you grew up with and your affection (or lack thereof) for new technology. I, for example, grew up with the 4000; and unless new technology brings something worthwhile to the table, I'm not interested. That's why I still have a plain old cell phone that *gasp* only takes phone calls and text messages. :P

Then you have most members here, who are at least 10 years younger than me. Most of them favor the XL or IS.

Finally, you have the tech junkies who get excited when any kind of new technology comes out. They're likely drooling over the IS2.

There's a big difference between using a few quotes here and there, and patching speeches together; making it sound like your own. Of course most liked it. It was all warm and fuzzy. He said a lot of things that sounded good. The 9% probably saw it more like an episode of Family Guy. :P

Personally neither party has a clear cut solution on how to fix anything, that's why should be trying to collaborate together instead of wasting time destroying the other party as much as humanly possible. Did you see how much money was wasted on campaigning last year? No wonder were still in the crapper.
I have no agree. I've heard a lot of great ideas from politicians on my side, but they don't seem to be "together" on specifics. And some, quite frankly, still don't get it.

The speech was exactly what I thought it would be. Nothing more than a "there, there, everything's gonna be just fine" and "we can do it!" type speech. A lot of goals. Some good, some bad (he seems to think the last election's message was "spend more!"). But nothing specific. Then again, that's what SOTUs are pretty much all about. It's just a big show.

What happened to the volume? I blasted my speakers at full volume, and can bearly hear the audio.
Sounds like the left side of the audio is almost non-existent.

What will Boehner do besides cry?  :cry3:
I don't understand why liberals are so obsessed with this. Yes, he cries. So what? I mean, if Obama's only fault was that he cried every now and then, then I'd be pretty happy with him.

I'm sure it'll be like last year. Good for nothing more than a few laughs. He'll take credit for the hard work of others, blame Bush for his failures, say we're on the right track, and (more or less) say "screw you" to those who refuse to see things his way.

I can't believe the Bears didn't win. :( :cry3:
Me either, but the Packers are my second favorite team. So this should be a good game. Congrats to Tyler and other Steelers fans.

I have a Verizon LG phone. I use it for phone calls and occasional texting. That's it. I have no desire to buy anything better. I don't understand why so many people buy expensive phones with all these silly features. I mean, do you REALLY need to watch a movie on your phone? Can't you wait until you get home and watch it on, oh I don't know, a TV!? :P

Excellent choice, one of my favorites from 2009.
Wow. I had no idea it was used. Cool! I found two versions of the song a few weeks ago. I liked the intro to the "Quiet Storm" remix, but prefered the melody in the original song. So I merged them together. :D

Wow. I can't believe this topic is over a year old, and still on the front page of this subforum. Anyway, we're under a Winter Storm Warning. First one of the season, I believe.

Did this song actually play on TWC before? I've been curious about who the artist is. :dunno:

Yep, in 1990. It's "Wild Cosmos" by Harry Miller.
