I'm pretty sure this song is "Over and Over" by Brian Hughes, but the clip on TWCT doesn't quite match. Is there an alternate version or something?

They are both the same song, however, it seems the clip on the site has a different pitch

I figured it out. They're the same song. The clip on TWCT is the wrong part of the song.

Programming and Graphics / Re: Tornado Specials coming to TWC
« on: April 30, 2011, 10:36:35 PM »
I miss the specials TWC aired in the 1980s and early 1990s.  They were considerably rarer than today, but that was good for two reasons: they were an infrequent, yet welcome, programming change, and, because there was more time to work on them, they were of exceptionally high quality.
Agreed. What I liked about them was that they focused more on the science of the weather involved. Weather was the focus, not people. Today the main focus is the misfortunes of those involved. I watch TV to be entertained and/or informed. I don't watch it to become depressed. It also makes it seem like they're profiting off these poor people. I know that's not their intention, but it does seem that way when a special is made about a specific storm, shortly after it happens.

I came across them the other day. Pretty interesting how they rolled out pieces of it in each LF.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: Timeline
« on: April 23, 2011, 07:31:39 PM »
Also, I believe February 2, 1998 should be added because that is when TWC started to debut new maps and graphics and I think when the "Weather Center" name debuted.
Weather Center actually debuted on 3/10/98. The new maps and title bars debuted sometime in January of that year from the footage that I've seen.
So then nothing happened on Feb 2nd?

The timelines end in 2004, so I won't add the first one. I already have the second one, but only mention the year. So I've updated it with the specific date. Thanks for letting me know.

Lisa was used in the late 80s. I think "The Road Less Traveled" was used in 97/98, but I'm not 100% certain. The rest were never used.

Subway, the adults talking like kids.  <_<

I agree, it is stupid.
I third that. Another one is for that Zoosk dating website. First of all, why is she looking for dates at work? Of course the ad has to have the required "dumb guy" to go along with the "smart woman." Is the site in frames or something? I notice that when she uses the vertical scroll bar that only the middle part of the site moves. Finally, what's that thing around "hunky guy's" neck? A scarf? :dunno:

Was  "Untraveled Path" by Dan Siegel used as well?
Nope.

Hmm...somehow I missed this topic yesterday. Anyway, the only one used was "Miles Away," which was a BTF in 92/93.

I'm curious what the new shows are about. Judging from the titles they sound pretty stupid. I'm thinking "The Chew" is one of those let's eat 50 pounds of food type shows? And I'm guessing that "The Revolution" is a liberal talk show. Which begs the question, why do they need that when they've got "The View."

I saw that the other day. It really made me laugh. I doubt it will change anything. Most people know what copyright law is.
