For all that subscribe to at least one person's videos on YouTube -- is your subscription page now showing new videos from people you didn't subscribe to? Mine is now also showing new videos from friends and people who've subscribed to me. WTF!? It's annoying enough that I have to weed through videos I've already watched, but now I have to weed through videos I didn't even ask to see!? :censored:

Thanks to everyone who commented! I guess we'll leave things as they are. I honestly didn't expect anyone to care, so this is good. :)

Just so we're all on the same page, most of you are against removing the parts highlighted in the attached screen shot. Right?

So you recognize that interest is fading, but you want my subforums and the name in the logo to stay? That doesn't make sense.

Apparently, I'm still not explaining myself well. I'm only talking about the TWC Classics presence. So the only subforums that would be removed are:

TWC Classics News
Contributions
Comments, Questions, or Complaints.

General Discussion / Re: 9/11/01: It's been 10 years...

Man do I feel old. I was in college when it happened. I went to my 9am class and people we talking about a plane hitting the World Trade Center. I had no idea what they were talking about, but since "accidents" and people doing stupid things was nothing new, I didn't think much of it. I'm not sure when I started to watch the news, but even then the gravity of what happened didn't hit me. The idea of some group hating our country so much that it wanted to kill ordinary citizens, was so foreign to me that I didn't want to believe it was true. And the idea that the Twin Towers could come down seemed impossible. Yet both were real. I was fortunate enough to not know anyone directly affected by the attack, but like all Americans, my sense of security and view of the world was changed forever. It is my prayer that this is a day we NEVER forget and teach our children about. As Winston Churchill once said, "those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it." :hmm:

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I was referring to the TWCC presence is this forum only. I have no intention of removing the site itself. Andy summed up my feelings perfectly. It just seems that few people in this forum are interested in the days when TWC actually covered the weather. So it seems silly to keep the subforums and the site name in logo.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Should the TWCC presence stay?

As you all know, TWCC merged with this forum almost two years ago. The reason for the merge was due to a big drop in activity. It was my hope that the merge would result in more discussion. For whatever reason, that hasn't happened. It seem that the only time classic TWC is brought up is when I post something about my site. And even then, I have to make a sarcastic reply to get a response.

That being said, I would like to get your honest opinion. Should the TWCC presence remain or should it be removed? By presence, I'm talking about the TWCC subforums and the "TWC Classics" in the logo. I discussed this with Martin a few weeks ago and we agreed to give it some time. Having done that, I've seen no change. So I thought I'd ask the community.

Regardless of what you have to say, I am not bitter or angry. I have no problem with this forum or any of its members. If no one really wants to talk about classic TWC, so be it. I am grateful to Martin and the original members for welcoming me and my members here. :)

Local Forecast / Re: Dan Chandler's local forecast narration
« on: September 07, 2011, 12:00:34 AM »
In all of the examples I gave, I was talking about either the Boston or Willow Grove Stars, not about Stars in general or about every Star in the country.  I didn't prefix every mention of a Star with the city name because I thought it was unnecessary and understood in context.
Interesting. I wonder why your cable company decided not to show the outlook. Guess I'll have to through my Willow Grove footage and find out! :)

The 4000 never showed the Outlook, either.
Sure it did. It was part of the original J flavor, then moved to the M in fall 1992. I remember seeing it lots of times.

I can't remember offhand seeing both the Almanac and the Outlook together on the same local forecast.
Lots of examples of this on my site. J and later the M flavor had both.

This area upgraded to the 4000 in 1991, and that showed the Outlook only at the very beginning.  It very quickly disappeared from the rotation.
That's weird. Seems like your 4000 differed from the rest of the country.
