Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: Website errors and problems
« on: December 02, 2011, 10:37:14 AM »
Matt, this might be an odd time to be bringing this up, but I am a little confused at how you have identified the music on the Trammell Starks page of your blog.  First of all, the names of the songs listed there are different from the same ones identified on YouTube.  And second of all, there are a couple of duplicates, just under different names (i.e. #5 "All That Jazz" and #37 "Unpredictable"; #6 "Autumn Blue" and #12 "Deep Blue").  If this is intentional, my apologies.  I think I remember reading that all Trammell songs go under two names, but I don't understand the duplicates.
The song titles are ones I came up with years ago. In fact, I believe I came up with them before "wow" (or a fan of his site) did in the early 2000s. Since the clips are on my site, I naturally choose to use my list. There aren't, though, suppose to be any duplicate songs. I have removed them. Thanks for letting me know!

There are much bigger hypocrites in this world than Mike Bettes. I like the segment name though. :P

Local Forecast / Re: Just received Trammell's LF CDs...
« on: November 17, 2011, 11:24:29 AM »
I received mine in 2006. No artwork and no signatures. ;) It's amazing how many emails I've gotten over the years asking if Trammell's CDs were still available. If they weren't, would I have a page mentioning that they were for sale?

Just a small suggestion, but can I suggest having the locations of where the clips were recorded on the videos pages, as well as indicating what STAR it is?
Good idea. I'll work on that after the next update. Thanks!

I wonder why Bill's forum has such a problem with spam bots? I ran one for several years and spam bots were almost a non-issue.

Had to re-authorize my computer. This is getting annoying.

FYI - I will be launching the new structure/navigation and the new blog tonight. All old links should redirect to their new one (if it's changed and the page still exists). Additionally, the playlists have been updated to reflect all known songs at this time. Some old content has also been added back. New content and more old content will be added soon. Let me know if you run into any problems. Thanks.

one of my favorite artists growing up during the New Jack Swing era of Hip Hop in the 90's sad thing is all deaths come in 3's (Andy Rooney, Joe Fraizer, Heavy D)
New Jack Swing was the best! Probably my favorite style of music. Too bad it was overtaken by gangster rap and whiny alternative rock. :hmm:

I thought this was a test by the government. I wasn't aware that stations had a choice.

Holy cow! That came out of nowhere. Then again, he was called "Heavy" D for a reason. Very sad. He also did my favorite version of the In Living Color intro.

Okay, I feel stupid - when did they start naming subtropical storms?

I was able to get in today. I had to re-authorize my computer. Not sure why, but I got in without any problems.

And, has anyone notice how he edits topics in tech support so they say 'I didn't read the important threads up top!"?
I thought that was pretty funny. It's amazing how many people refuse to read the instructions. They're not that hard to understand, and you only really need to read the install section.

I like the new design, but why do you update the look of your site so often, Matt? :dunno: I guess it never hurts to try something new (and like I said, I like this design), but it seems like once we get used to one look/layout, it changes again. :hmm:
I know, and I apologize. I'm not planning on changing this one for a while, though. The reasoning is that I've always wanted a Weather Channel-like design, but one I made. Not having Photoshop until recently, I used Charles' old design for a few years. Since I had no way to make my own at the time, I started looking for a template. So I found the now previous design. About two months ago, I was messing around with some graphics and came up with this design. I thought it looked pretty cool and I liked the fact that it was something I created. So I showed it to a TWC friend. He really liked it too. So I decided to run with it. I might make a few tweaks here and there, but nothing major for at least a few years.

Yah, the security is over the top. I understand wanting to keep the bad people out, but I think he goes a bit overboard. If that madden guy wants to get the program, he'll get it. Security doesn't matter if it also keeps the good people out. As far as the download goes, though, I really don't see what the big deal is in only letting legit members get it. And if the "older" members get it first, so what? I know, I'm an old timer, but I'd feel the same way even if I wasn't. It's no different than a company giving its repeat customers pricing lower than its one-time or casual customers.
