TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Is cable TV going downhill?
« on: April 02, 2012, 11:16:46 AM »
I miss the 90s when Nick showed cartoons like Inspector Gadget, Muppet Babies, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Garfield and Friends.
Me too. Same with USA and TBS. I watch old promos on YT and RetroJunk just about want to cry. TV was so much better back then. I recently became reacquainted with "USA Up All Night" and "USA Cartoon Express." I remember at the time thinking "Up All Night" was such a lame show. Looking back, though, it was way better than these movie shows with bland, yet annoying hosts that tell you what kind of pizza to have at your Super Bowl party. Rhonda and Gilbert never tried to sell or "help" you with anything and they were funny. Plus, the movies they showed were unique. Unlike today, when its generally ho-hum movies you've seen dozens of times.

Back to Nick, I about s*** a brick the other day when I found episodes of "Are You Afraid Of The Dark" on iTunes. I had kind of forgotten about the show until Teen Nick showed two or three episodes last Halloween. To my disappointment, I found that though DVDs had been released, they were out of print.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Ed Libus or Leebus?

I didn't even know how to spell his name, so how would I have looked it up? I didn't think about weather.com, I don't use that site.
But you obviously know about it (weather.com). It would have taken you about a minute to find him on there, even if you didn't know how to spell his name.

It just amazes me how many people these days post questions like this on forums and Yahoo Answers. Questions that could easily be answered by doing a little work. I don't get it. :dunno:

He's a radio personality, so that's probably why you've never heard of him. BTW, why couldn't you take two minutes to look him up again on weather.com to get his name right? :hmm:

Wow. If I'm ever convicted of a crime, I hope you're not on my jury. Obviously I'd be guilty until proven innocent. Is this America or Iran? :club:

I knew there had to be more to the story. Pointing out once again that it's important to get all the facts in BEFORE you judge. :hammer:

This is yet another case of the ugly history and reality of our country, which is racism, along with discrimination and racial profiling.
Yah, that's all this country has been good for.

Maybe I'm alone here, but I think it's time to take down the St. Patrick's Day banner. :)

Obviously different surveys will come up with different numbers. Especially when one of those likes to talk about "saved" jobs.

Underemployment is 19.1%
People who are forced to work part-time instead of full-time, as well as people who have given up on finding a job altogether.

Nothing new here. Google has been stalking its customers for years. Why do you think they bought YouTube? If there was a better search engine, I would use it. And if YouTube wasn't such a great method to attract new visitors to my site, I'd stop using it as well.

General Discussion / Re: Gas prices in your area
« on: February 22, 2012, 10:18:42 PM »
It's $3.43 here. Experts are fearing $5 gas prices by the summer. What's the reason this time? Just the rising stock market?
It's $3.49 here. Was around $3.30 last week. I about had a heart attack when I saw it rise more than 15 cents in one day. The reasons are likely what's going on in the mid-east. I think I read about a production facility in the U.S. shutting down for a while too. And then there's the continue devaluing of the dollar.

Good point, but i just have one question to ask, one of the TWC today/classic avatar icons is the haze icon from the 1982-1999 icon set, i cant find the actual icon on google  either, or on a youtube video, a rare icon it seems or is just very hard to find, how did the TWC today/classic crew find it, if they didnt then they probably made it.

First icon on the page...
