Not that I'm aware of.

Speaking of the elderly, I can't imagine what one old person might saying if they came across long-form programming on TWC. They might be saying, "Hey, where's my weather?!?" I bet almost none of the old people have all the fancy computer and internet technology and smartphones like the younger people do, where they get their weather from nowadays. The elderly would just probably stop watching TWC altogether and just watch something else on the tube. I think the programming director at TWC needs to think about that IMO  :hmm:
My step-dad (who's a farmer) is always annoyed when he can't get the forecast on TWC during non-local news hours. He refuses to use the internet (has my mom prints out his emails). :P

My grandfather, who's over 80, just got high-speed internet and a laptop. When I was down there he asked me to setup his network, so he could access the internet from his laptop. I couldn't believe it. :o

I laughed out loud when I saw this title. Mainly b/c I thought it said "reefERmakers." Pyros sounds cool, but iceberg hunters? Really? I swear they just pick show names/ideas out of a hat.

If TWC was never put on sale, this wouldve never happened.
You're probably right. Landmark seemed to really care about the integrity of TWC.

You want to respect the core viewers, but let's invite new viewers into the tent.
Is he kidding? In what way are they showing any respect for their core viewers (which I assume means people who - dare I say it - tune in to hear about the weather)? :dunno:

James said he worries that weather will become secondary to profit-seeking at The Weather Channel.
Uh, it's been secondary for years.

Eventually, however, the goal is to expand to three hours of entertainment programming in prime time, and also air some of those shows during the day, he said.
And maybe someday that won't have to talk about this silly "weather" thing at all! :D

Do you have to create a Google account to have a YouTube account now?  I had a YT account awhile back (and probably still do), but I can't use it anymore because I'm getting a notice that I need to create a Google account to link the two, and I do NOT under any circumstances want to create a Google account. :nono:
Yes you do. And if YT wasn't such a great marketing tool for my site, I wouldn't have tied my Google account to my YT account.

There are videos going around suggesting Youtube is actually deleting accounts deemed "inactive." It's apparently part of their newest "Terms of Use." If you do find a video, beware because most of them are excessively profane.
The only time I've heard of this is from conspiracy nut Alex Jones (aka the guy that had that creepy interview with Charlie Sheen after he went nuts). Even if they're deleting inactive accounts, so what? I did the same on my message board.

Depending on how long ago it was at 320, that's not unusual. Obviously some people have either unsubscribed from you, deleted their account, or got their account closed due to a terms of use violation. I'm sure if I paid attention to mine, I'd see that it's gone down too.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Is cable TV going downhill?

Because of my DVR (and Hulu plays a minor role, too), maybe only 10% of what I watch on TV is currently being broadcast at that time.  Everything else is recorded for watching later.
Same here. Except the reason is that generally when I want to watch TV, there's nothing good on. For me, about 95% of what's on TV these days is garbage.

Happens more than you think. I've had a couple of stalkers. Not as crazy as this chick, but annoying nonetheless.

Are you sure? What's the label?
GAIA records, 1988.
Weird. I didn't know it had a previous release.

I had no idea this was a known joke. I thought my friend Charles just made it up. I wonder why I've never heard it before (since previous months have obviously also had a 4th). :dunno:
