Wow, that is dull! I take it you have Windows 8? What do you think of it? It looks like a radical (and unwelcome) departure from the look most Windows users are used to. I've also heard it's difficult to use.

...but I would like to stay away from Dell and HP, as I have had serious problems with those makes in the past.
Same here. My last computer purchase was a new laptop a year or two ago. I went with Asus and love it. So far no problems.

BTW, if a current site admin is ever too busy to post or take down a logo, I'd be happy to take care of it.
it's a PHP file that has to be edited, located at https://twctodayforums.com/logos/wxctr.php
Right, but I don't currently have access to the server.

Is there a particular reason why we still have the Thanksgiving logo up?

Local Forecast / Re: Weather You Can Always Turn To Music

Since this topic is about Weather You Can Always Turn To music, I wanted to say that there used to be various WYCATT music clips on the site which have since been removed. Any chance that music will be put back on the site?
Maybe. Did you not download it when it was on the site?

Does anyone remember hearing this music http://www.twcclassics.com/watch/235-50/ywtwc%20field94 on a K flavor?

No, but I did use it as a K flavor in one of my emulated local forecasts.

Everything Else TWC / Re: weather.com isn't weather-y anymore

I only use weather.com to check my forecast (mainly to compare with the NWS and our NBC affiliate). The rest of the site is worthless. Well, some of the blog posts are interesting. But some of the stories are so silly it makes me laugh. I assume it's just a tie-in with NBC, but still.

Local Forecast / Re: Christmas playlists and Regular playlists

Not in 1990. This video was on Christmas Eve.

Technical error, I think.
No, I don't think so. Usually, when there's a technical error, music plays, but it stops and starts, even different songs in the same local forecast, playing parts of one song, then the music stops, then another song starts playing. But not in this case, the music plays through perfectly.
Ahem. I already gave you the answer. ;)

I don't think they changed the Prime Time Tonight playlist during the holidays.

Those of us old enough to remember, back in the day, during the Christmas season, TWC would play both the Christmas music playlists and the regular music playlists. Why would they do both, instead of playing the Christmas playlist exclusively?
Actually, they mixed the Christmas songs in only in the beginning. When it got close to Christmas, it became 100% Christmas music.

It is not the majority (thankfully), but there is a large segment of America who just have never accepted the fact that we have an African-American president. And many of them never will, unfortunately.
You're so right! It has absolutely nothing to do with his policies. It has nothing to do with the fact that Obamacare will result in the largest tax hike in history on the middle class, or that it will cause (excuse me, has already caused) employers to lay off large amounts of people (or go out of business). It has nothing to do with the fact that tax increases and absurd amounts of regulations on those businesses don't help either. It has nothing to do with the fact that he passed the "dream" act by executive order. It has nothing to do with him supporting genderless marriage. It has nothing to do with him being praised by communist dictators. It has nothing to do with him telling Russia that after this election, he'll have more "flexibility." It has nothing to do with him supporting partial-birth abortion. It has nothing to do with his constant assault on religious liberties. It has nothing do with Fast and Furious. It has nothing to do with his gross incompetence with Benghazi or pussy-footing with Iran. It has nothing to do with throwing Israel under the bus. Yep, it's just because he's black.

But people like this somehow have not learned their lesson from election night -- the vast majority of Americans are not going to accept blatant lying, racism, sexism, homophobia, and classism from politicians.
Wow. Take about the homophobia part and you just described Obama.

Seriously, though. This is pretty stupid.
