The genres, yes. The sound, no (IMO).I disagree. Current, yes. Varied, no. Bright and upbeat, not always.But isn't it varied? They have jazz, country, pop music and i've even some classic rock. I don't follow what they play very closely so perhaps I'm not on the same page.
Landmark is a top notched company and continues to operate a fine media empire from my hometown. Frank Batton was a genius in building both the company and TWC.I couldn't agree more.

I didnt want to post a whole topic for this, but It has been exactly ten years since I stumbled accidentally onto TWC Classics, when it was called "Matt's Guide To The Weather Channel" on 3/10/2003 at nightI'm still amazed you remember the date. I couldn't tell you the date I discovered a major site, let alone a fan site. I appreciate your loyalty.

Jim Flowers was the Chief Meteorologist at WOWT for many years. Before that he worked for many years at KETV (our ABC affiliate). So he was one of my local TV forecasters since I was a kid. He was fired at the end of last year under mysterious circumstances.
While it's not a commercial, this show annoyed me so much as a child. I swear the creators are on some kind of drug.I think the creators of most kids shows are on drugs.
I don't know why have the song on my HD but was "Colors" by Steven Saltzman ever used on TWC?Yes, in 1998.
