Here's a screenshot from the Microsoft ad I mentioned in my previous post.

After '94, there isn't another Christmas playlist until '99. (I checked the latter month playlists too to make sure the songs weren't hidden amongst them.
Even I Love Lucy has elements to it that simply will not work now. Of course, the show is a timeless classic and always will be, but... the elements of "men are the earners and women are the spenders," women can cheer themselves up just by buying a new hat, and it's the role of the husband to discipline the wife have gone completely out the window sixty years later.Yep, sitcoms have done a complete 180 in that realm. Now it's the husbands that are the "children." Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Yes Dear, etc. all portray men as dumb, childish, unreliable, and incompetent. This also shows up often in commercials. And it drives me crazy! It sends the wrong message to young men. It sends a subconscious message to them that this is how they're supposed to act. Which is why I'm thankful for people like Brett McKay at artofmanliness.com who are trying to help men find their true manliness (and not the comical way portrayed in the media).
Matt, I've moved this topic here to the weather section. If you're looking to just get a forecast, the main ones have already been stated above. However, if you want to see more information like the models, radar, satellite, and so forth, I would check out some sites mentioned in the Weather Models topic pinned in this board. No, I'm not just looking for a forecast (I get that from my local NBC station). I'm looking for cool and informative maps, radar, and satellite images for a sister site to TWCC.
Today is also the 20th anniversary of my favorite playlist - The April 1993 playlistThis was the first playlist where I remember every song vividly (and the first playlist I got). It was also about this time that I started watching TWC daily.
The genres, yes. The sound, no (IMO).I disagree. Current, yes. Varied, no. Bright and upbeat, not always. But isn't it varied? They have jazz, country, pop music and i've even some classic rock. I don't follow what they play very closely so perhaps I'm not on the same page.
Landmark is a top notched company and continues to operate a fine media empire from my hometown. Frank Batton was a genius in building both the company and TWC.I couldn't agree more.
Notice what was said about the music. It was their intent to keep it upbeat, varied, current and bright. One might argue that TWC is simply returning to this way of thinking.I disagree. Current, yes. Varied, no. Bright and upbeat, not always.
