Everything Else Classic TWC / Re: TWC intro
« on: September 28, 2014, 08:59:56 PM »
Sorry, but to the best of my knowledge, that song is not available. It was custom made for TWC. I haven't even been able to confirm the composer, but it could be Impact Music (based on the credits of some of the documentaries).

I couldn't find a clip of it anywhere either, but I purchased the CD from someone on Amazon.

General Weather Chat / December 1989 Arctic Outbreak
« on: September 18, 2014, 01:52:36 AM »
I posted this on the TWCC Facebook page, but thought I'd post it here too.

I was extracting footage of Hurricane Hugo for the next update tonight, when I came across footage from that December. That gave me the idea to post footage of the famous arctic outbreak. However, I'm having trouble finding the exact dates of it. All sites I've found just say December. Can anyone give me the specific dates?

I didn't see anything in that article about poor ratings.

Sad news indeed. He was my favorite jazz pianist. I didn't even know he was sick. I heard him on a show on Sirius/XM's Watercolors awhile back. Based on one of his comments, I got the feeling that he didn't really like doing contemporary jazz.

That track that I was talking about, I think that was it. I heard that track played on the K flavor.

I can probably find it for you.
Glad you know what he's talking about because I sure don't.

I have to agree with Eric, that comment on liberalism was indeed offensive.  :noexpression:
I've seen MUCH more offensive political comments here. Funny that the ones aimed at conservatives and libertarians are generally not reported or condemned. :whistling:

Haven't seen it and don't plan to. Based on the previews, it looks like nothing more than a global warming believer's wet dream.

Does anyone know where to buy and/or download the Network Music tracks? I love the songs, but they're pretty much impossible to find...
Seriously? They're on Amazon and iTunes. Spotify has all/most of their songs as well.

General Discussion / Re: YouTube subscriptions

Now YouTube changed how to get to your video manager. Used to be as simple as clicking your username and selecting video manager on the pull down menu, now you have to go to you channel and click a random video of yours to get to it.
Ugh, that drives me nuts! :censored: Pretty soon they'll get rid of the navigation altogether.

Also am I to assume this "untitled" track is a lost song of hers? Can't find it anywhere.

As far as I know, that track is still unavailable.

Nice! I wonder what the quality is like, though. Judging from the clips, I get the feeling they were recorded from a tape.

What kind of music? Theme music? LF music?

Did they change it back?

According to http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/national/2012/07, under "Climate Highlights - July," bullet point #1:

"The average temperature for the contiguous U.S. during July was 77.6°F, 3.3°F above the 20th century average, marking the warmest July and all-time warmest month on record for the nation in a period of record that dates back to 1895. The previous warmest July for the nation was July 1936, when the average U.S. temperature was 77.4°F."

:dunno:
